The location of this hotel was wonderful on the strip but pretty much right in front of the island. We stayed in room 702 the two bedroom apartment. Our room was for the most part ok just to lay your head down at night. The room did need a few updates such as the cabinet trim needed to be replaced in the kitchenette area(it was missing), the door needs outside panels(it was down to wood), the love seat as well needs to be updated and or cleaned, and the fireplace was missing the panel board to cover the switch(not good for toddlers that walk whom could stick little fingers in wires). Also the one of the beds only had a flat sheet on it and no fitted sheet which was odd. The bar area in the room was neat. I enjoyed the outdoor balcony. The pool was cloudy and one guest mentioned that the chemicals werent balanced because to much shock etc were put in the pool as he watched one of the employees. The ice machine on our level was broken but new ones were sitting in front of the hotel ready to be put in. The office smell the morning of checkout was nauseating and smelt of a dirty wet dog. The lady working the front desk was super friendly(I didnt catch her name but she was younger woth blonde hair and glasses). For the most part the room was clean unlike other reviews. I did not like that my card was ran even though when I held the room with it, it said pay when you arrive and nothing will be charged until your stay when I got there I wanted to pay with cash only to be told that my card had been ran since it was«busy». So be aware if your intention is to pay with cash. The layout of the room was really neat. I hope they will update this hotel and keep it up, it has a ton of potential.

This hotel is located in a wonderful location. We decided to do a day trip to Pigeon Forge and when we arrived we decided to spend the night. With only having cash on hand and no pre-arrangements made we rode down the«strip». We found this hotel and called. They told us they only had 3 rooms left and it was for $ 69. After traveling on and finding that other rooms were more expensive with smaller beds we decided to stay here. The wifi is horrible and that’s to go with the horrible LTE reception from Verizon. It has an indoor heated pool, but it was cloudy and you could barely see the bottom of the pool; very disappointing because I wasn’t even going to attempt it. The room was huge, but it needed some HUGE remodeling. Our jacuzzi tub worked, but it wasn’t the greatest; a fit for one so do not expect to enjoy it as a couple. ;-) Our king size bed was hard as a rock and the bathroom light wouldn’t work unless you turned the bathroom heater on too. There is not much parking for this hotel either. They serve breakfast from 8 – 10 and its included with your room; waffles, cereal, oatmeal, toast, juice. I would prefer to go purchase a hot breakfast else where. All in all unless you’re like us and limited on funds… go else where!

Very unclean, refrigerator hadn’t been even wiped down outside, the sofa was broken down and nasty. Old and outdated is one thing but unclean, yuk!
We stayed in presidential suite, in the suite it screams unclean & improper as it’s hardly cared for. Hardly anything in suite is functional, flooring utility plugs aren’t installed as it’s there for the looks. So if you see the utility plugs in the floor, don’t bother to plug in anything because it is not installed at all as you can pick it up. Got jacuzzi tub that is not functional at all, also is not clean at all, in fact both in living room and in bathroom the jacuzzi is not functional at all. It is advertised that they have free WiFi, my answer to that is where WiFi? Barely any WiFi, if WiFi is needed then would have to use other hotels WiFi which barely enough to get me online for anything. The hotel’s elevator is surprisingly functional but the numbers inside elevator that lets you know what floors you are at is wrong, you would be on floor four when the elevator says you’re on 7th floor and I have in fact stayed there three times because for some reason they kept saying that there has been huge change in improvement but it seems that whatever their improvement are is worsening. Floors are barely cleaned, ceiling has shown some stains along with some possible of molds, the lights are hardly functional, the tubs along with the toilet are hardly cleaned as the tubs has shown several chipped places. Only functional I can found is their television sadly, only acceptable or what I like the most out of Mountain Vista Inn & Suites is that the hotel is in the heart of Pigeon Forge as it’s in very great spot in middle of several businesses along with some attractions, restaurants and other fun places to go. The hotel is also sitting right on the spot where the guests can be picked up by trolleys in front of the hotel which that’s the only the advantage the hotel itself has which that’s what I like. Please keep in mind if they constantly tells you that they’ve gone under management changes, or huge improvements, maintenance or whatever else they could possibly think of excuses to keep their returning customers — Don’t! However, I can safely say that they do actually have a couple of nice rooms with 2 beds or a single bed that’s good for only 2 people but only if you are very lucky. The first time were same presidential suite, second time were the 2 beds regular room which is somewhat acceptable as I’d give it 3 out of 5, then this time were my 3rd which is back again in the same presidential suite that I rented from my first time. I’ve looked at several rooms they have with my own eyes, I can only say that they do have two or three acceptable rooms, but that’s 3 – 4 rooms out of all rooms they have so you could have one of 3 – 4 acceptable rooms only if you’re very lucky.
