The scenery here is exquisite. The path to this winery is breathtaking and one may view the pilot scenery. Once you arrive– there is plenty of parking on the gravel lot. As you enter the winery is personalized with initialized barrels by the front doors. The overall atmosphere is marvelous. The contrast of red and greenery go hand in hand. As we entered the front area, there was no customer service at all. we walked to the front on where the wine tastings were being held and had to ask. I think for the winery, there should be more of initiative to engage customers coming in. The cost is $ 15 for approximately 6 tastings and includes a souvenir wine glass. majority of them are on the savory version. If you do enjoy Malbecs, and Pinot Giorgio, you may enjoy the tasting. Food: The food is set up in Tapa styles. We enjoyed the Thai shrimp and Caprese salad. Caprese Salad had a nice farm fresh taste to it. Thai shrimp– tasted deep fried, but had a lovely sweet and trace of Thai chili taste to it. Placing 2 stars, simply based on the experience of the wine tasting. Wine tasting experience was not the best, but the dining was a 3 star — «A-OK.» Nonetheless, this was considered a winery venture.

JOLO is my favorite winery in the Triad! I was really sad to see that all the awesome food is gone at End Posts, but they are still doing tapas. Disappointing, but the wine and ambiance of the place is still awesome. The key here is if you like a certain wine, buy it up! Last year a favorite was the Grey Ghost, but they are out of that. I really like both the Golden Hallows and the Golden Hallows Reserve that they have right now. Their rose is also perfect for Summer. I sampled their sparkling wine which was really great if you like your sparkling wine a little bit sweeter. The tasting of eight is $ 15 which includes a wine glass to take home. Unlike a lot of other NC wineries the tasting is not free even if you buy bottles. The bottles are pretty reasonably priced around $ 20-$ 30. As I mentioned the ambiance of this place is really great. You can sip on your wine by their fireplace indoors if its cold out and take in the beautiful chandeliers and racks of wine. Or if it is nice you can sit on one of their many patio seats enjoying the pilot mountain views and outdoor fireplace.

Palatable wines and nice staff. The owner, however, is very rude and pretentious. We brought our well-behaved dog once before(outside only, of course) and this time the owner was super rude to us for having her this time. You can only go so far with«decent» wines, and atmosphere determines the rest. Hope they learn this before other wineries drive them into a hole.

Jolo is one the newer wineries in the area, but they came out of the gate running. We visited with some friends who had been recently and recommended Jolo. We did the larger of the two tastings they offer which lets you sample 8 and a keep the glass. There is also a tasting option with 5 and no glass. I liked that they had tasting cards for each of the wines with plenty of notes. The wines were all pretty good. The Jolotage was my favorite. I got a glass of that to enjoy outside. Speaking of outside, they have a number of different places to sit and all of them have a nice view of the beautiful property. If you have an event and want a scenic venue this would be a great option. They have a restaurant as well, but we didn’t try it on this visit. Maybe next time.

After visiting for a Unilocal MEETTHEMAKER event a few weeks back, we brought some friends from Raleigh for the Golden Hallows release party today. We did the $ 15 tasting which included eight preset wine tastings and a Riedel take home wine glass. They also have a $ 8 tasting with five preset tastings. The Jolotage was my favorite, but the whites were good, too. My least favorite was the Chambourcin. We also purchased a glass of wine to drink out on the patio. They have such lovely grounds that it’s a shame not to pause to enjoy the view. We’ll be back!

The restaurant is great. the winery has a nice tasting room. Some of the wines were good but a bit over priced for the quality. I love the different sized glasses for the tasting, nice touch. Nice area outside for you to enjoy a bottle. The wines were good, a bit fruity, jammy, on the tongue but good. They will need more parking as we could not even find a place to park. So I would give it a try. They are young yet so have hopes for a better wine each year

I had my wedding reception here in October and it was absolutely perfect! JW, Nancy and the staff went above and beyond and made my day really special. The winery is absolutely beautiful! Awesome views of Pilot Mountain and a wonderful place to just kick back and relax with a glass or an entire bottle of wine! ;] The wine and food are great too! I will definitely be back!

Lets start by saying the place opened in April, and it is gorgeous! a hidden gem in Pilot Mountain. I had a wine tasting, I can’t say that I was a big fan of what I tasted, but to be fair 2013 was not the best vintage for grapes in the Yadkin Valley. I do have high hopes for the traminette must(juice before it is dosed with yeast) that the owner let me taste out if the stainless steel tank. He was happy to show me the barrel room and he pressing of the traminette. I also had lunch there at their restaurant. Ordered a fried oyster salad with local greens from Mount Airy and a German Reisling. It was great. and I have to give kudos to the owner for having his wines on the list along with wines from around the world. It is just a real quick drive from Winston-Salem(16 miles or so) and certainly worth your time.

Wonderful meal. We had dinner here several weeks ago and did not know that the meal could be any better, but it was tonight. My husband had the pork loin and he raved about the flavors. I had a beet salad which was incredibly flavorful. I also had the tortellini which was delicious. We both commented about how skilled the chef here is at combining flavors and textures. I highly recommend this restaurant. The setting for the restaurant is perfect.
