Sentient Architecture, LLC is a full service architecture firm and a design. build company that works under the dba Truehome Design.Build. It serves the rural regions between Houston and Austin, Texas as well as the Austin environs. The firm used the unique Truehome process that merges psychology and architecture to create green, sustainable homes that fit the lives people want to live.

History

Established in 1995.

Christopher K. Travis has designed and built homes in Texas since 1974. He partnered with registered architects in the mid 1990’s and turned his design business into a formal architecture firm.

Started developing the Truehome process in the late 1990’s — which allows him to tailor projects to the psychological experience and nature of his clients. Truehome has been the subject of a lot of national and international media — and has been endorsed by nationally recognized psychologists and neuroscientists.

Managing Partner of Sentient Architecture, formerly known as Round Top Architecture, a full service architecture and construction that serves Austin and South Central Texas. The firm also does design/​build work under the dba Truehome Design/​Build.

Travis is also the CEO of Nidiant Corporation, an Internet start-​up at True​home​.net. Truehome and Travis’ unique approach to «emotional architecture» have been the subject of a major article in the New York Times, Go Magazine, Gizmodo and other media in Greece, Australia, Germany. His projects have been published in Country Living, Houston Home and Garden, Texas Highways, the New York Times and elsewhere.

As a builder and designer, Mr. Travis has served as a consultant and lead designer for residential and commercial projects in Texas since 1975 ranging to over $ 2,000,000 in scope.

Mr. Travis is also a writer, and the publisher of the Round Top Register and co-​founded the Round Top Family Library with his wife, Cheryl.
