McGee Auto Service & Tires

These guys are AWESOME. They fit me in on a tire rotation and installed some mud flaps that I had ordered from the dealership. I saw a stream of customers come in while I waited and with each one they took the time to explain things in very clear terms. They clearly care about their customers and they set a high standard. We have them service all of our vehicles and I recommend them every chance that I can.

Service was exceptional both times I have gone to this location. The staff is friendly and honest. They were straight forward and quick. I went in for a flat repair which turned into a tire replacement. They got my tire in the next day and were able to get me in and out quickly. This place will be my go to for auto needs from now on. I highly recommend using McGee.

I must say I’m very impressed by the friendliness, and welcoming of the staff at this place. I happened to use this location once since I had a flat tire but the way they treated me made me decide to switch from the mechanic I’ve been going to for the past 10 years to them good customer service makes a huge difference I was very impressed on how John even explainEd too many things couldn’t understand how cars in terms I would understand I’m very grateful for all the work they’ve done and for taking care of myself and my husband now I have a new place where I will do on my car maintenance thank you

I’m new to the area & gave these guys a try, strictly based on their great reviews on Unilocal.Unfortunately, my only experience with them was a bad one.
I went in for a simple tire patch (usually about $ 25) but at checkout, the guy tells me $ 42. WHAT??? $ 42 for a tire patch? I’ve been told Americas Tire offers tire patches for free (a reflection of how minimally time consuming & easy tire patching is).
Long story short: I tell the guy the cost unreasonable & he tells me he’ll «back out the wheel balancing charge». What? I didn’t ask for wheel balancing. if it’s part of standard procedure here, they should have told me before doing the work.
Net result: 28 bucks & change paid, a blemish on their otherwise stellar feedback on Unilocal,and a customer that (likely) won’t be back. I’m left scratching my head, wondering. was it worth it to try & squeeze an extra $ 14 out of me?
My experience in summary: let the buyer beware of unethical business practices.
EDIT: I was called by the manager of the store, apologizing for the bad experience. He said he had someone temporarily filling in for him while he tended to personal matters, and this is NOT typical of the way he runs his business. After the phone call ended, I was left truly feeling as though this was a fluke experience.

John really took care of me! I brought my car in after an accident to have the tires rotated, realigned, and rebalanced, as well as my oil changed. John and his guys were thorough, made me comfortable, and took the time to explain what was going on with my car (in plain English). I will be a repeat customer, for sure! Thanks, John!

Marty was extremely helpful during my tire repair visit today — he went above and beyond and double and triple checked all my tires to make sure they were set to go before a long road trip.
Incredibly gracious, helpful staff — could tell they were really honest guys, esp. considering I am not incredibly knowledgable about cars. Would highly recommend their services!

I really appreciated the work that was done here today. I came in just to do some pricing on tires but Jay was so helpful at finding me the best quality tires he could in my price range and even found me coupons to save about $ 90 in services that I bought a full set of tires and alignment right on the spot. Jay got my tires done right away and my alignment was done very swiftly. Thanks so much guys!

The service at McGee is top-​notch. I was very skeptical about advice I received at other stores. The guys who helped me at the front desk communicated clearly and help me meet my automobile needs. I cannot thank them enough.

This store has serviced our truck for over ten years. We’ve found them to be honest and dependable and the staff extremely courteous and friendly. Their prices are reasonable and fair and their work is outstanding. If someone isn’t satisfied at the Pinellas Park McGee Auto Service & Tires, they’re not going to be satisfied anywhere!
