MGE: Management Experts, Inc. (MGE) is a training and seminar company specializing in management training for dentists and other health care professionals. Over the course of the last two decades, MGE has trained thousands of doctors (and their respective team members) on subjects such as efficiency, organization, patient communication, advertising, public relations and marketing, executive and leadership skills, overhead control and staff training and motivation.

Our approach is simple: We feel that the only effective formula for lasting results in practice performance and statistics is applied knowledge – hard won through effective training programs. Our programs are designed with the end goal in mind of a stable, efficient and profitable practice, delivering high quality care that continues to prosper and expand – despite any economic conditions.

Business Owner

Luis A. Colón is Chairman and President of MGE Management Experts a nationwide leader amongst executive training and seminar firms. MGE Management Experts’ clients are typically professionals (doctors, lawyers, accountants and CEOs). Mr. Colón is listed in the Who’s Who of American Business.

Mr. Colón began his career as a professional management trainer after his service as a member of our armed forces during the Vietnam War Era. After many years in the consulting and training field on his own and as a member of two other firms, he joined the MGE Management Experts team in 1991 and shortly thereafter became a partner. In 1997 he became the Chairman and President. Under his leadership, MGE has had an increase of well over 300% in its client base, income and delivery, with only a 10% increase in the number of staff.

Love this place. Dental business tactics and more. They definitely have it figured out and know what they’re doing. I’m currently enrolled in a few of their seminars and every time I schedule to come here I’m excited about it. We’ve been applying their techniques since day 1 and our numbers have increased. The staff is professional and friendly as well. If you haven’t already been here I completely recommend giving MGE a shot.

To the outsider, I have to say it’s a weird program. It’s cool that they have dentists growing their practices by leaps and bounds, and they do provide some good education. But you must know that it’s different than any training program or consulting group that you’ve ever been with.
If you start with the New Pt Seminar (like we did) or the ABC Seminars, you will get a taste of the knowledge with an introduction to the L. Ron Hubbard technology & research. The deeper you go in the program, the more they will (or try to) convert you to their system and their way of thinking. They will attempt to ‘Hard Sell’ you on more programs with very odd exams, private meetings, and repetitive sales pressure.
I’m sure there’s a silver lining for many people. If you have a business that is struggling, these guys can take a lot of your money and turn you into a business machine. (If you get there, it’s probably worth the money).
We decided that 12 – 18 months of monthly classes wasn’t what we had in mind to develop our practice. We didn’t care for the Hubbard style, the obscure definitions, and the way they tout his works as laws of nature (as if he was an all-​knowing god). We didn’t want to convert our office to his cookie-​cutter approach to business.
While I’m definitely not an education expert, I feel like there would be many modern ways to learn his teachings in a way that’s more real to us, and this place doesn’t have it.

It is not enough to just be a good clinical dentist. As a small business owner, we need to know how to properly manage and run our office. Also, we need to learn how to better communicate with our patients to be able to help them. Dental school did not prepare me the skills I needed for those. Better management and communication skills make smoother and happier office environment. MGE helps train your staff so I can concentrate on treating patients. If you want a well run office and you lack the management or communication skills, try out one of their free seminars.

I as a dentist strongly recommend my co llegues to get MGE training, so can be moré succesful in prívate practice, will be moré organized, will see any single detail that it may be stopping you to be moving your numbers high up. They will work with you, trainned you hard, follow up on you, there is no other way to get better and better. MGE was the best thing that ever happened to me and my husband. We had just opened a brand new scratch practice and really had no idea what we were doing. Lucky for us we stumbled onto MGE and they taught us how to be successful business owners new have started two scratch practices and could open 20 more If we wanted too (we don’t by tweak way) because MGE taught us all the things they really should teach in dental schools and don’t, One final thoughts. I like MGE over any consulting company because they don’t come in and tell me what to do. They teach me how to be my own consultant. Way more powerful. All I say is check it out for yourself. If you are looking to fix your dental office– don’t decide on what others tell you — give the a chance for yourself. I know hundreds of dentists flourishing from the training from MGE. My husband and I just became clients June of this year and it was the best decision we could have made. After thinking for a long time that economy was the reason for our low numbers and patients not complying with treatment, MGE has taught us valuable knowledge we can use to be smart and effective business owners. We use what we learn and apply what works for us versus being a cookie cutter office and do everything the same as everyone else. We just finished our first class of the ABC seminars last week, we got back on Monday and was able to reach our office goal everyday this week from just what we learned in the first seminar.
