Description

Specialties

«If you’re in a rush, you’re in the wrong place!» All of our organic meats + fish are cooked on our amazing outdoor grill with Mesquite Wood. Everything is cooked to order. We only have one grill with only so much space, so food can take longer than usual on nights with high volume. Reservations are HIGHLY recommended. We suggest making a reservation a few weeks in advance. We have 2 seatings. The first is an early seating at 5−530PM, the second is from 7PM for the rest of the night. For some reason we are usually hit with very large groups which slow us down and make the wait for tables longer than normal. You are very important to us and we want nothing more than to accommodate you and have the best time possible. Outdoor seating is available during the spring, summer and part of fall. Stroll around Pioneertown, sit out in our beer garden. play some pool or hang out and listen to music. 98% of our shows are free. If there IS a cover, it will be on our music page next to the artist who is playing. We have Live Music every night we are open. All different genres. Check our events page and plan ahead. Remember. It’s only Rock~n~Roll.relax and enjoy!

History

Established in 1982.

The legendary Pappy & Harriet’s has been delighting locals and travelers alike since 1982, with its mesquite barbeque, live music, dancing and friendly service. There is also a long history here. Next door to P & H is the original attraction of this tiny burg, the Pioneertown «Mane Street”– an assortment of old-west themed buildings built in part by Roy Rogers in the 1940s, so that he and his cowboy buddies like Gene Autry could have a place near Hollywood to shoot their Westerns and have a good time. In 2003, two New Yorkers who loved P&H and wanted to see it returned to it’s glory days, bought the roadhouse and started making subtle changes. Since then, musicians from Robert Plant to Sean Lennon, Neko Case to Lucinda Williams and many more, have graced the P&H stage. The legendary bar has become an indie rock favorite with a vibe that can’t be matched. P & H continues the tradition of live music, great barbeque, and good times in memory of Pappy and all those who came before him.

Meet the Business Owner

Robyn C.

Business Owner

I am a New Yorker who came out to the desert in 2003 and bought Pappy + Harriet’s. I fell in love with this place and hope you will too. We are about as independent as you can get. Myself and my co-owner run this place all by ourselves. No corporations are here to back us up. I can honestly say everyone that works here from the dishwasher to the chefs to the servers to the bartenders care deeply about P+H and want to do the best they can. If you don’t have the experience you thought you should have please consider emailing me at pappy. harriets@yahoo.com before writing a negative review. I would love the private feedback and would love the opportunity to make it better. Thank you!
