Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf

I love the sugar free mochas they are amazing I go here twice a day. The only bad thing is I cant have sugar and I was given a sugar one once just be careful not to give sugar to someone who can’t have it! Think was someone new. Also the older gentlemen who helps me is so nice and always great service never messes up on a drink and answers all my questions always smiling.:) Thank you for great service!!!

I ordered a tripple Dry cappuccino and recieved a cup of warm milk. Its dissapointing when the managment doesnt train their emploees on how to make basic drinks, especially when their buisness is spacifically drinks, its all they do all day. There actually is a difference between a cappuccino and a latte. I do use my own mug it is 16oz. It is unbelievable to me that a barista would use this as an invitation to pack as much fluid in that 16oz. Can the managment please teach proper drink ratio to the kiddos.

So glad Pismo has a CBTL! I always have to stop here whenever staying in Pismo. Love the place, friendly worker, friendly manager, store is clean. They are nicely located by the outlet stores. Ultimate Mocha is my favorite. It is ten times better than Starbucks Mocha Frap.

The worst customer service experience ever! Went here only because the Starbucks across the street had a line out the door. Was treated so poorly by the employees in the store that I walked outside to wait for my boyfriend. The girls behind the counter mocked me and were laughing so loudly as soon as I walked out of the store that my boyfriend had to say something. I am appalled not only at the type of behavior allowed at this store but also how cruel these two women were to a paying customer. I will never return to another coffee bean after my experience today. There is no question as to why paying customers are willing to wait in a long line instead of coming to this store.

Carmel ice blended is hands down my favorite drink of all time! The large is 5 dollars but I would double and still feel like I was getting a deal. The staff at this location is always friendly and super fast, sometimes starting my drink before I get to the register. Starbucks is the past, coffee bean is the future.

Came in today for a study group and ordered a black tea. Dacian was the batista and was super helpful in helping me pick what I wanted, while also tending to other guests in a professional and enthusiastic way. He definitely made us all want to come back for more groups and make this a regular hangout spot. He’s a great asset to the company!

I am falling in love with coffee bean. I am a Starbucks fan but after coming here a few times I’ve noticed that nobody really compares to the flavor and quality of coffee bean.
The employees at this location are not as friendly as other locations. The lady taking my order was so sweet but the guy making the drinks wasn’t so friendly.
The location is great and even better because it’s on my way to my sisters house. I always stop here on my way to her house after I’ve been driving for hours.
They have a meeting and conference room that is pretty cool. I like that they bring you your coffee when you are having your coffee in the store.
Parking is easy and it’s never too crowded here.

Everyone is allowed to have a bad day. I had a real problem with service at this location and I ended up writing their corporate customer care department. They responded and resolved my issue. I feel heard and on a subsequent visit noticed a difference in service. Everyone is allowed to have a bad day, even retail workers. I love the teas at this place and will continue to come here to enjoy them.

The customer before us had issues with their Chai, so 3 employees, including the cashier who was standing there in front of us were busy sorting it out. Okay fine, things happen, but an «I’ll be right with you» would have been nice. Finally the cashier turns his attention towards us and asks for our order. As we begin to order he turns his head back and continues to talk to the other employee. Then turns back with a blank look on his face and says «What was that?»
OK…Suppose someone is having an off day, so whatever.
Didn’t have to wait long at all before our Iced Green Tea and Latte were ready, which was nice until… The Iced Green Tea which I should have known by the color was completely watered down. It literally tasted more like the filtered tap water than it did any type of tea. Then onto the latte which was not much hotter than lukewarm.
3 strikes guys. I’d drove right past a Starbucks intentionally to your shop simply because Starbucks has enough of the market share in my mind and I wanted to spread the wealth a little. Now I’m starting to see WHY they have cornered the market.
When your only job is to smile at people and make them coffee it really shouldn’t be a problem to do that consistently. But Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf in Pismo Beach can’t seem to manage it!

Absolute horrible service … Didn’t offer to warm the chocolate Danish when we order the coffees and pastries. When we ask to warm it up… They said you started your Danish we won’t warm it for you now … What ??? Why ??? Thanks red head you really made us feel good

The coffee is flavorful and strong. Only downside is that sometimes the wait is long. I’ve waited 10 – 15 minutes for a coffee before, but its kinda worth it, occasionally.

The Coffee Bean has to be my all time favorite. This one is right off the freeway so it’s very convenient if you are in a rush.
They have a great selection of teas & offer up a coconut/​almond milk on top of a soy alternative for anyone that has lactose issues.
This place also has some great food. From cookies that are completely vegan & actually taste good, to oatmeal you can take with you, there’s just no wrong choice.
The staff is always great & if you can’t decide on what to get, just ask. They know their stuff & can usually recommend something you will end up ordering again & again.

The sweets are good! I tried the mini pecan scone, tastes kinda like a scone/​donut. Mmm

This place is a daily stop for me… period. Super friendly staff, my drinks are never wrong, and nice atmosphere. Quick service also and lots of smiles. The one with the cute flower shoes is great.

With all the coffee shops in the area, do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. The coffee/​lattes here are mediocre. One of the employees isn’t very friendly. The place is extremely loud as well so don’t go there to do any kind of studying or meetings.
You guys have 2 jobs.
1. Make decent coffee.
2. Have working internet! — This is the easier one of the 2 and Coffee Bean failed.
We left and went to Starbucks down the street.

Just outright terrible customer service. The girl who was the cashier (Tuesday, 6÷9÷15, approx 2 pm) was rude, unfriendly, and didn’t even bother to make eye contact. Sorry, but I’ve gotten way better service at Starbucks.
(It’s not one star only because the place is decently clean.)

When school is in session this is my spot. I’m from Los Angeles so naturally I love The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf. I love the staff and have never had anything to complain about. Wayne is one of my favorites! He never fails to make me laugh and it’s always refreshing to have baristas that WANT to be there. The store is always kept very tidy even when it gets super busy. It’s a great atmosphere all around.

I love their teas. I also like how you can buy a 10 gift card and if no one has reserved the conference room u can use it after your purchase.

Can you believe I’d never been to a CBTL before our recent trip. I have to say I’m a convert especially when you get 10% off for checking in Score!
It was a bit late but the women working were courteous, and helpful considering I was a tad clueless. (Eyeroll)
It was clean even (drumroll) the restrooms!
The scores a star just for that!
Ok I could inflate the stars and give this four but seriously it’s a tea and coffee place that had decent service, it was clean, a good variety to choose from and a nice switch from SB :) it’s not a gourmet sit down full service place so it gets a solid 3.
When in Pismo area Yes we will stop in. And hopefully have the same good service as our last trip.
The daughter and I love love tea even though it was just the Man & I.

I LOOOOOOOOVE The CBTL!!! I was out of town recently on a daycation and just had to come here. My initial destination was over 50 miles away from here, but there was no way that I could be that close and not go.
The location is ideal… not too far from Pismo, but enough out that you don’t have a place to park and have to fight large crowds.
My all time favorite/​go to drink here is the Black Forest, it is the absolute best!!! It is the perfect blend of chocolate, cherries, coffee and whipped cream. They do not make this drink (to my knowledge) at any other coffee shop in my local area. Even when I was in Vegas, I made sure to grab a Black Forest.
The employees are friendly and have bubbly personalities… I would too if I lived at the coast, lol.
