Kirby Heating & Air Conditioning has remained a family company since 1983, when Lloyd and Jessica Kirby started the business from their Pittsboro home. Lloyd, who originally hails from Pittsboro, has more than 30 years of heating and cooling experience. His wife, Jessica runs the office, and their sons, Robert and Adam, both work with Lloyd. In addition, the company has two other HVAC installers for replacement and new construction systems.

These guys were just amazing! Father and son team came today and installed my new gas cooktop. Reasonable priced and so obviously trustworthy. I had never met them before but left them alone for the last couple of hours! Feel like I’m back in my old hometown.

I had an amazing experience with Kirby! They answered my calls promptly during a heat wave, service was friendly, and timely! It is a family owned business, but the small nature makes service exceptional and high quality. Our blower motor went out in our furnace and therefore could not have AC during 100+ temps. We needed a quick fix but was worried about costs. Many of my friends and coworkers said that you could buy the part particularly cheap and most service providers jack the rates up for labor. Another company quoted us $ 739 plus a $ 80 service fee! Kirby did all the work plus found that the part was under warranty for a total of $ 200! The other company didn’t even check for warranty coverage! The problem was explained very clearly to me and I never got a run around on appointment times, prices, or the time it would take to fix. I am very impressed and would recommend them to anyone! I will be using them for any future HVAC/​Furnace/​AC/​Heating problems.
