As a Pittsburg native (actually West Pittsburg,) who now lives in Clayton, I hadn’t been in Lanzafame’s in years. What a pleasant surprise. Chris, the owner, was so easy to work with and did everything he could to make our experience as pleasant as possible. We were transporting our bedroom furniture ourselves to Lake Tahoe. Chris and his sons wrapped our furniture extremely well for the trip. It is so much better and easier to work with a family-​owned business rather than a chain furniture store.

Excellent customer service! My husband and I just bought a reclining sectional from there that was on sale and got a free chair, complete with ottoman! They have free delivery but it doesn’t usually apply to sale items. Chris (the owner) was kind enough to deliver anyways! They have exceptional pieces for really good prices. Long lasting furniture from honest people. How can you go wrong?

A family owned store that gives you great customer service and great prices!
I was looking for a leather recliner for my Man Cave and decided to go with the Best company. Lanzafame had the most selection on their floor for me to try… about 3 or 4 times the selection.
After I found the chair I liked, their price was about $ 300-​$ 400 cheaper then other stores in the Bay Area. I asked why and they told me they wanted to give the lowest price they could avoid the hassle of haggling!
So here is where the great customer service came in. The chair I actually wanted was not in the store to try. Chris (store owner) had to order it from the Best factory in Indiana. Since he was ordering it, I was able to customize it to the color I wanted and material.
Since I wasn’t able to try it out he said if I did not like it, I did not have to buy it and that he would just sell it as a floor model! NO BUYERS REMORSE!
Another thing was that he held it in his store for a month until I was able to pick it up. I live about an hours drive to the store and was only able to come on a weekend. He told me to come when I could and that he could hold it until I was ready… WOW what great customer service.
In the end, the recliner was perfect.
What more can you ask for… great customer service, great prices, and no hassle. If I ever need more furniture I will definitely come back. I am so happy I will even make the 1 hour trek!!!

They just delivered a second sofa set (couch, chair ottoman) for my livingroom. The experience went as smoothly as the first time. This is a great family run business and I highly recommend them. They are so nice and honest. They didn’t ask for payment until the set was in my home and they made sure I was completely satisfied. It’s too bad I don’t need any more couches because I love this place!

I found a table on line at amazon and then found out they had it here so went in. What a wonderful experience a 3^rd or 4^th generation family owned business. They were so nice… even let me take home a chair and rug and no deposit. They treat their customers like family. Just ordered a new chair and can’t wait to get it. Oh yes and they were cheaper and yes they actually deliver for free no one does that anymore and they only want you to be happy. They have a great selection of furniture and some beautiful area rugs for 100.00 that would cost you 500.00 somewhere else. They even sell some customers furniture for them… also visit downtown Pittsburg looks really nice now. They have parking right in front of the store… let’s keep the money in our local towns! I know I will be using them again!

I found an ottoman coffee table on
that I loved. On the off chance, I swang by Lanzafame to see if they had anything similar. Not only did they have the same exact ottoman, but it was cheaper, I didn’t have to pay shipping & handling, AND he put it together for me. It did need to be ordered but took like 4 days. I stop in there before I order furniture online now.
BTW, I got the ottoman a little over a year ago and still love it.

Great selection of sofa bed and recliners. You’ve got to check this place out if you are in the market for good furniture.

My parents bought a beautiful sofa from here 10 years ago. Needless to say, the sofa is still beautiful and gets so much napping action at the house. It is the preferred module for sleep, even over a Tempurpedic mattress. The quality of furniture is astounding, even after 10+ years.

I was in Lanzafame’s last night for an Art & Wine Walk in Downtown Pittsburg… It was amazing!
Chris Lanzafame was playing the saxaphone, the place was packed, there was wine and snacks and lots of fun to be had!
Congrats to all who participated in the event and everyone who attended! It was an outstanding success… And seeing one of the business owners getting so involved in his community… refreshing! What great business people!

About 15 years ago I went looking for new living room furniture.
Yes this review is 15 years old (a teenager without the attitude)
Went thru every place you could imagine, stand alone furniture stores, department stores, discount stores, I do mean everything we could find in the phone book
Everything in Brentwood Oakley, Pittsburg, Walnut creek, Pleasant hill, Concord,
After 2 weeks of this journey thru high pressure — pushy know it all sales people, I ended up back in Pittsburg.
(Did you know hell is full of furniture salesmen trying to sell to used car salesmen and visa versa?)
Anyway by the time i got ready to buy I knew what to expect as far as quality vs. price.
Lanzafame beat out all others for true value, you might pay a few bucks more, but the quality is there.
The owners were very friendly, helpful, a real low pressure sale. They actually want you to be satisfied
15 years later my furniture is still in good shape, if I had bought the cheaper stuff elsewhere I would have had to replace it by now.
I would have ended up paying more for crap than I paid for quality
If I outlive my furniture this is where I will go for new furniture.

From the first time I walked into this store to sell a yearbook ad nearly 16 years ago, my entire family has gone here for furniture. They never do a hard sell, and will order something for you if they don’t have what you are looking for. Not to mention they will guide you a bit if they don’t carry the «modern» styles I tend to gravitate towards as I get older.
The quality of the couch and loveseat I bought there nearly 10 years ago can’t be beat.
Obviously I can’t say enough great things about this place, and that is because they are AWESOME. If you live near downtown Pittsburg, go check it out. Heck, if you live in Concord, go check it out. None of the usual furniture store shenanigans either.
