Adams & Associates

My mom always did my taxes. After she passed, I panicked and went to H&R Block. Cost me over $ 500 to get them done and they were so rude. Adams and Associates had great rates, considerate, knowledgeable staff and I had no issues with them. I was very satisfied and I am going back this year. Would refer to anyone looking to get their taxes done. I had a lot of items such as childcare, student loans, new home, etc. and I had zero issues.

I usually use Turbo Tax but I bought a house in 2012 so I decided that when I filed my 2012 taxes it would be better to use a company who knew of all the deductions I could possibly take. I think I would have been better off using Turbo Tax.
The preparer rushed through my tax return. I told her that I had live in one Township for 8 months before buying a house in a different town. The two town had different tax rates. I also brought two pay stubs — the one that showed my income through August, when I lived in the one town and the last pay stub showing my total income for the year so they could see how much I made when I lived in each town. She told me she didn’t need to see them.
Recently I received a letter from Jordan Tax Service saying I did not pay enough taxes last year to the town I live in now (which has the higher tax rate). Even though I told Adams & Associates that I lived in two different towns that year, they only filed a return for the town I lived in at the end of the year and included all of my wages for that year, not the 4 months that I actually lived there.
This year I will not be using Adams & Associates but will do my own taxes instead.
