I have learned so much about how my body works from a very patient kind staff. Dr. Colin helped me laugh through my back injury and went above and beyond for my healing. I couldn’t walk my first appointment and by the end of an hour session of him working on my muscles, I could walk very slowly. By the the end of two weeks I was fine. I am 23, did every exercise, and went to him the day it happened-so all those factors play a part as well. A normal appointment was an hour or more of tests and stretches, where I received tons of personal attention. Now i’m part of the Dr. Steve program where for $ 10 a month, you can go back and use the gym as often as you want with the help of the aids. I try to go every other day or at least 3 times a week and am stronger and happier. At the gym I think I was doing exercises that were hurting my body or irrelevant to what i needed. I feel so much more in control of my body and my life, totally worth it. I know if I get injured in the future, how I can heal myself.

I have a patellar kneecap, and over the years, have used several PTs around the world and a few in Pittsburgh. Laura Winslow at Allegheny Chesapeake is great! She’s very knowledgable & makes sure you understand what you need to do to take care of yourself outside of the facility. I believe you can also schedule a first apt w/out a prescription, which is a huge plus if you have a tight schedule. Additionaly, they have a good range of hours.
