I was pressured to buy Invisalign by the hygienist as well as by Dr. Boak. They said it wasn’t just for cosmetics, but that it could have adverse effects on my health if I did not purchase it. After my visists to Dr. Boak, I received monthly emails trying to sell me Invisalign. There were also advertisement posters throughout the office and exam areas, and it’s prominently featured on the front page of his website.
My new dentist, Dr. Sean Mirf in Columbus, OH has told me that I definitely do not need it, and that he was probably trying to upsell this product to make profits.
