This is not a huge library by any means, but the water fountain is ice-​cold even during record-​breaking heat, and there’s comfortable seating and lots of reading material while you wait for the fury of Ra to ebb.
The library staff were unclear on whether a visitor could use the wireless network (Bluesocket asks for a library card number), but since I rock a Clear dongle anyway, I was able to get online and avoid agreeing to an acceptable-​use policy that couldn’t be viewed on the library’s website until after I had agreed to it. Don’t librarians hate shrink-​wrap licenses?
