Founded in 1969, Ifft & Palmer has grown into one of the city’s leading independent insurance agencies. Privately owned and headquartered in downtown Pittsburgh, our primary focus is to protect our clients’ assets by offering comprehensive risk management strategies and a wide selection of property and liability products.

Business Owner

Ed is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree. He began his career in the Insurance Business in 1963 and co-​founded Ifft & Palmer in 1969. His entire career has been spent interacting, advising and serving individuals, professionals and businesses on their various insurance needs and benefits. He obtained a Chartered Life Underwriters designation and a Chartered Financial Consultant designation from The American College, Bryn Mawr, PA. As President of Ifft & Palmer Associates, LLC, Ed is focusing on the future vision and growth of the company as it moves into its next generation. He currently serves on HOPE Network’s Board of Directors and also as a Trustee of the Kate M. Kelley Foundation.
