Description

Specialties

We specialize in Progressive American Cuisine. Our Chef’s Tasting Menu takes you through a variety of different cooking styles, with dishes driven by locally sourced ingredients. Served slowly and in smaller portions, this meal is a perfect balance between a meal and a dining experience. We also offer a wine list that features wines from around the globe. For the true Isabela experience, you may choose to add a wine flight that pairs a different wine with each course in order to enhance both the food and the wine.

History

Established in 1999.

As of August 2009 we are celebrating 10 years of operation. Through good and bad times our unique culinary experience has survived, and continues to evolve. The building we inhabit was originally built to be a real estate office, and from there evolved into a barber shop and a bachelor pad. We now sit high atop Pittsburgh with a newly renovated bar and lounge that offers a memorable view of our beautiful city.

Meet the Business Owner

George M.

Business Owner

George comes to Isabela a stranger to the food and beverage industry. After a very successful career in engineering and marketing consulting, our 75 year old George needed a new challenge. George and his son Colter purchased Isabela on Grandview on its 10th Anniversary and have been positive contributors to our business. George brings a personality that is charming and unstoppable. He spends hour upon hour working on streamlining the business, and also the building. He can often be seen in his coveralls behind the bar fixing and improving the functionality and look of the bar. And he is no stranger to our guests; George makes it a point to meet and greet each and every guest that walks through our door. Make no mistake, George is committed to seeing Isabela thrive, and continuing our tradition of exceptional food, wine, and service.
