Decent place. Got a banana flavored café au lait with soy milk. It’s alright, not amazing, but I’m going to come back to try more stuff. Very quick! I really appreciate how efficiently they work! Location is a little inconvenient-​you have to turn around if you’re going north on McKnight. Quick and pleasant experience. I’ll be back!

Friendly staff. It is nice to see a small business doing so well next to «those people from Seattle». Great drinks and snacks. Reasonable prices. Quick service. Sign up for a frequent flyer card it’s a treat to get a free drink.

This place is great! Nice fast stop for your 5 mile drive down Mcknight. The priced keep me coming back along with the cold brews. I love they can even do an awesome fresh Italian soda. Always fast, good and affordable. Just go!

I have been stopping here occasionally since It opened, and today thought I should finally write a review since a national chain opened down the street. This place is the best. Friendly service and they don’t automatically add sweetener to my iced coffee! And at $ 2.30 for a large iced coffee? Can’t beat that and was excellent! Stop here today!

I can’t believe the hundreds of times I have drives by this little shack and not stopped. You will not be disappointed! Lots of flavors, delicious pastries, and great people. Plus they give you a chocolate covered espresso bean.

I love this place. Friendly service and the drinks are always really good. It’s also convenient to be able to pull up on either side of the building and place your order. I stop here whenever I get a chance.

I’m a big San Francisco Giants fan and one day last summer while I was living in DC, I drove the 4 ½ hours to Pittsburgh to see the Pirates play the Giants. After a rousing baseball game (the Giants sadly lost) and a trip to the epic Pittsburgh casino, I crashed at a friends house before heading home the next morning. I stopped at Island Bean on the way home. Or I guess I should say that I didn’t really stop– I drove through! And I loved my quick experience there so much so much that I still think about it a year later! The coffee was perfect and the lady was so kind, the stop sent me off on my drive in such a good mood– and well caffeinated! (I also got chocolate covered espresso beans which I recommend). Honestly I don’t know why there aren’t more drive-​through coffee places! And this place in particular was so cute and small and friendly and local. I hope it’s doing well!

What a lovely place! The speed of service was fantastic, there were 4 cars in front of me and I got through in 8 minutes (it would have been even quicker, but the car in front of me seemed to be asking the barista a ton of questions about something).
There are so many flavor varieties, it’s exciting! Since it was my first time there, I decided on an iced almond latte – it was delicious. I was hesitant to try one of the specialty lattes because I thought it would be a little too sweet for my taste – and the almond latte was pretty sweet on its own. The espresso flavor was on the darker side, which I appreciated (I’m not much of a fan of the lighter roasted coffee, but understand the appeal), and the cylinder ice cubes were adorable.
I will definitely come back when I’m in the area and look forward to trying a few more flavors!

I worked for Starbucks for 5 years and I would choose Island Bean Coffee over Starbucks any day of the week! They have sweet and smooth espresso drinks, friendly staff, and quick service! Way to go Island Bean!

You can NOT beat this place. Starbucks has nothing on these coffee ladies. Do yourself a favor, swing through here and grab a pound of coffee and a cup of your favorite coffee drink to-​go. You won’t be disappointed. Love this place!!!

Convenient. Coffee are strong and not watered down. Ice mocha is great and not too sweet. You can also order a breakfast sandwich with your coffee which I usually do when I’m running late for work while being both sleepy and hungry!

What’s not to love about this place? The ladies are friendly, their drinks are tasty and the service is super quick! They aren’t any cheaper than a Starbucks or Panera but 99% of the reason I stop here in the mornings is convenience. You can pull in and out of the drive through in under four minutes and you don’t need to leave the warmth of your car!

This little drive thru coffee building is the BEST! You can pull in to either side on most days and evenings.
The baristas are so friendly and the owners work there too. The drinks are delicious — i especially love the granita! (It’s like a Starbucks frappacino but better) My daughter loves their frozen lemonade in the summer. And their chai latte — hot or cold — is out of this world.
They have food too! Breakfast stuff and even oatmeal!
They even have a loyalty program, which is GREAT! So glad they are in the North Hills and hope they open a second location! Stop by. You won’t be disappointed.

This place resembles a shed off of McKnight. They have two sides where you can place your order (drive to the right or the left side of the shed). They have a full blown menu. Smoothies, Chai Tea, scones, and more. They do not feature a flavor of the day but who cares. The service is fast and the coffee is reasonably priced. Two dollars for a large coffee.

Because when Susan is covering at the North Hills office and she hasn’t had her coffee yet, this place is a lifesaver. Still a cute little roadside shack with great coffee.

I am in need of a wake up call!!!
This little hut serves up the best beverages in the North HIlls. The baristas are the firendliest around. You don’t have to use all that fancy lingo that the other coffee shops require.
I go to this little hut about twice per week and they know me by name. I did think I was special but they seem to know all their customers by name or beverage.
They offer a variety of beverages and have some in sugar free. Each drink is topped off with a chocolate covered coffee bean!
I usually get the Mint Mocha Lattee with skim milk. It is served hot but can be served on ice or as a granita! Any way you get it, It is heaven!
I would suggest giving this place a try before you head down to Pgh.
