We used Blumengarten for our Wedding flowers and the Bridal Bouquet was absolutely gorgeous and made exactly as requested! The corsages/​boutonnieres were lovely as well. We would definitely recommend them to others.

I always order from Blumengarten to celebrate a joyous occasion or to mourn the loss of a loved one. Their service is impeccable — I’ve had issues with funeral homes, but Blumengarten goes out of their way to make sure that I’m 100% satisfied.

I had Jim to help me with my bridal bouquet. I sent them the pic of bouquet that i wanted and it turned out to be perfect. It looks exactly what i wanted. Very reasonable cost also. Highly recommended.

I needed to send flowers to my wife. I went online to find a local Florist. Quite frankly all of the closest shops had low to very low customer satisfaction, so I expanded my search. I found Ludwig’s and remembered seeing their delivery vans around the city. So I looked them up and they had strong reviews and their delivery included me in the North Hills so I gave them a call.
I was treated courteously and provided options to get a great selection. Then due to my request for same day delivery the clerk had to confirm if my request was even doable. She did and even called me back to ensure me that the order would be delivered!
The flowers were delivered to my wife at her office on time.

Ordered flowers from here arrived to find them looking beautiful however asked for a price quote /​follow up for my wedding and never received any additional communication. Upset that no one took the time to follow up on a potential sale so I went elsewhere and ordered flowers for my wedding.

From plush dogs, to unique flower arrangements and gift baskets full of chocolates and fruit. This is the place! Do not look any further my friends. You get personal email replies from an actual personal if you request a certain question. Super friendly. Very responsive! They went beyond my expectations for a unique order I absolutely needed to that special someones day! :) Double fist pump in the air!

Unsatisfied customer! I ordered a get well bouquet, pictured arrangement was $ 39.99, I wanted a premium arrangement so I ordered the $ 59.99 bouquet. How disappointing, has a few lillys, 5 roses, rest is carnations a few baby’s breath and filler. For $ 60 plus delivery? Will take my business elsewhere in the future.
One star is for same day delivery.

I ordered a sympathy arrangement for my Aunt’s funeral. I requested the flowers to be delivered for the Family viewing on Friday at 3pm. I arrived and was disappointed to not see the arrangement I ordered. After two calls to the florist it was determined that another customer had also ordered a arrangement for my Aunt and wanted their order delivered to the church on Saturday for the viewing prior to the funeral. As a result someone at the florist decides to deliver my flowers not as requested for Friday but on Saturday. Imagine my frustration.
I will say after speaking to the owner, Jim Ludwig he did offer to still bring the arrangement to the funeral home. (no need the viewing was over by the time the situation was sorted out.) He offered to discount my order by 30% which was a acceptable gesture but at the end of the day it really wasn’t about the money.
Overall was a frustrating and disappointing customer experience for me at what was already a difficult time for me and my family.

Ordered flowers to be delivered to a friend in the hospital, and she got discharged the morning they were ordered to come. I called last minute the morning of delivery to cancel and Sherry was very kind and understanding and canceled the order and assured me the money would be refunded and even gave me the option to have it shipped to a florist closer to my friends home which I declined. Can’t rate the flowers but the customer service is absolutely amazing.

Ordered flowers for a friend’s birthday, and the bouquet was delivered the same day! Not to mention it was absolutely stunning — I selected the ‘Glory of the Garden’ (designer’s choice) with a few notes on my friend’s floral preferences, and from the photo she sent me later, it was absolutely perfect. So glad I ordered from here instead of some national chain!

I found this florist on Unilocal.I called from out of state to send my daughter a congratulations surprise of flowers balloons and stuffed animals her favorite is an elephant and I also wanted to include a Rhinoceros. Tim who took my order informed me that they did not have either animal, however he went out of his way to find these at another store and he personally picked them up.
Her flowers were beautiful and the attention to a customers wish has exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend using this florist

I ordered a gift basket of fruit and snacks for a family member. I placed the order online. I appreciated that orders are prepared with one day of notice. The website gives a few options for basket sizes, but it does not show pictures or dimensions of how big these more expensive baskets are, so I was leery of purchasing a more expensive option. When I placed my order online, the website had a drop-​down menu of times when I could pick up the basket. (They also offer delivery, but I wanted pickup.) The pickup times ranged from 8 AM until 6 PM. I selected a time of 2:30 PM. I showed up at the business at 2:40 PM. An employee there told me that they were closed. I told him that I had a pickup, so he let me in the building. He lectured me for a few minutes about how I should show up on time. He said that the business closed at 2:30 PM (I did not know their actual closing time, considering the later times that were available on the drop-​down menu; I had just happened to select 2:30 PM as my pickup time) and that they forgot about my order. He went upstairs and found my basket. The fruit basket appeared to have many tasty goodies in it. The basket was very overpriced, though, as the contents were not worth anywhere near what I paid. In the future I might just make my own food baskets. Other than the incorrect pickup times that are listed on their website, a few other things were confusing. I think that they need to make a few edits to their website. And I do not appreciate being lectured. If you decide to place an online order with this company, make sure that you visit another page on their website to see what times are actually available for pickup.

I called Jim Ludwig’s Blumengarten Florist from out-​of-​state to arrange and deliver flowers for my mother-​in-​law locally in PA. The service was courteous, the price was affordable and the flowers were delivered on time. My mother-​in-​law was happy. I am only rating them three stars because there really was no arrangement per se. She received a bunch of flowers in a vase. No creativity, no effort, just run of the mill.

After coming highly recommended, Blumengarten did the flowers for my wedding. From the start, the whole team was professional yet warm, reasonable about ideas and pricing, and true to their word. They not only made glorious fall arrangements and bouquets, they delivered and made sure to stay until everything was right. The flowers lasted a long time and were just what we wanted. And– they were quite reasonable! Just perfect!

It’s hard to order flowers online for someone who lives across the country because you never know if the recipient gets what you pay for.
I ordered a deluxe bouquet but the initial arrangement was lackluster and not at all what I thought a deluxe flower arrangement should be (my aunt sent a pic). I immediately sent an email requesting they send a different arrangement. Jim who, I believe, is the owner responded quickly and went out of his way to accommodate my request. He sent over another bouquet — which was beautiful — my aunt was pleased. The four stars are for the outstanding customer service!

Thank you Jim Ludwig and the staff at Blumengarten Florist for helping to make our wedding day (7÷12÷14) so special. Victor and I got married at the Phipps Conservatory so we didn’t need a lot of flowers for the ceremony, but Jim and his staff created an absolutely gorgeous bridal bouquet for me and my daughter (maid of honor) and our niece who spoke at the wedding. The bouquets were exactly the types of flowers I wanted (including small succulents that were used for our reception dinner center pieces and wedding favors as well) and I received many compliments on them. The mothers’ sunflower bouquets were also beautiful.
The flowers were delivered in a timely fashion to both our ceremony and to our reception. Everything looked fantastic on the dinner tables and our guests loved the special succulents that they received as gifts.

Jim Ludwig’s did the flowers for my wedding, and we were extremely pleased with the whole process. The initial consultation was thorough, we received the proposal promptly afterward, it was easy to make revisions, and they were very responsive throughout. They delivered to three different locations for us on the morning of the wedding, and Jim personally pinned the boutonnieres on the groomsmen and handed the bouquets to the bridesmaids, and gave us buckets of water to refresh them with during the photos and had Tim meet us at the ceremony to trim the stems right before we walked down the aisle so the flowers would look their best. The centerpieces at the reception were gorgeous.
We’ve also used them for several bouquets on other special occasions, and they always do a great job — we can just tell them what we’d like to spend and they make suggestions and deliver the flowers promptly and looking great.

I’m a foreigner and wanted to send flowers to my girlfriend living in a suburb of Pittsburgh. I contacted Jim Ludwig’s Blumengartens florist after finding them here. Unfortunately they didn’t deliver to the city I wanted my flowers to be sent to, but the Ludwigs have been very helpful and transferred my order to another florist that covered that area.
The contact has been fast and very friendly. I’ll recommend and would consider them again.

Mr. Ludwig, I don’t know if you’re alive or partying in The Great Beyond, but you’ve come through for me yet again. I have used your services in the past, trying in vain to win the heart of someone who only wanted to lead me on, play games, and wallow in the attention I gave her. *sigh*

As of Valentine’s Day 2011, I am finally in a real, healthy, loving, durable relationship, and you Mr. Ludwig, being the shadowy broker of botanic romantic notions that you are, have succeeded once more.
Situation: I needed a dozen red roses delivered to Sweet Lady Kay’s workplace in Coraopolis between the hours of 7:30AM and 1PM; a slim window on a busy day for sure! If I didn’t routinely trim my fingernails, I would have been chewing on them this morning. If I had hair, I would have been pulling it out. The stress! The uncertainty!
Before I leave for work at 11AM, I check my email and find this message from SLK herself…
«I just got the roses. OMG you are amazing!!! And you signed the card Sexy Man. lmao!!! Everyone in my department is gushing over them. Jess said ‘we like Darren.’ THANK YOU BABY!!! I love you!»
Then I felt foolish. What was with all the neurosis? Gee whiz! Jimmy always saves the day and has never let me down to date.
