Phillip Injeian Violin Shop

I got my cello back from Phillip Injeian’s shop and I can’t believe how great it sounds. He fixed several problems that I was not even aware of or did not know they could be fixed. I had a wolf tone, for example, and now it is nearly gone.
Phillip has amazing experience, very special training, and the work he does in incredible.
The instruments he builds are amazing, world class instruments, and he has built new instruments for some of the world’s best musicians.
Not only that, but if you ever get a chance to tour the shop, it’s a real treat, so much to see there.

So you know not everybody loves their doctor or lawyer personally. I go to a doctor because he can cure what ails me and Phil is the guy you go to to fix your Strad.
I’ve known Phil for ten years and as a professional cellist, he has done the best adjustment on my Italian made cello I ever had from any luthier. Many colleagues say the same thing. I’ve seen him magically change an instrument from so-​so to something remarkable.
He has a shop full of wonderful instruments that range from beginner to concert artist. His own instruments are also represented. I did eventually switch to an Injeian and have enjoyed playing it.
His shop in the cultural district is a cultural venue in its own right! Because he makes fine violins from scratch like a great chef.

Brought in an instrument for new strings and also purchased a new bow from Phillip while I was in town. A very nice guy running a gem in Pittsburgh. I live in DC so I’m aware of what it costs to get his expertise in a larger city.
I also played one of his violins and it was out of this world! Definitely an excellent shop to visit if you live in the area and an even better place to look for a high quality instrument.

This guy really knew what he was talking about! At first, I felt like he was being quite arrogant, but then I realised that he was simply trying to impart his knowledge onto me! After closing my mouth, and opening my ears, I learned so much — quite possibly the most one can learn in several hours about string instruments! In fact, if he wanted to, he could open a music college.

The guy seemed to know what he was talking about but was very arrogant and kept telling me how great he was. He may be right, but I didn’t buy anything from him.
