Our historic urban barn is the perfect space for intimate receptions, ceremonies and special events.

Born as a utility barn circa 1880 that later became a tavern, speakeasy, tea room, and ultimately our family home, PointBreezeway’s original wood beams and exposed brick fireplace reflect its rich history as a neighborhood social hub for more than 100 years!

Tucked away in the quaint and beautiful neighborhood of Point Breeze in Pittsburgh’s east end, our eclectic reception venue and event space is charming, simple and unpretentious, evoking all of the warmth and comfort of home.

We’re family-​owned and operated, proudly hosting weddings, showers, office retreats, holiday parties, and community events in Pittsburgh since 2014.

My name is Lauren and PBW is actually my childhood home. I grew up here with my dad, Dennis, since I was about 5 years old. The idea of PointBreezeway has been a dream of mine (and my dad’s) for a very long time, so I am beyond thrilled to share my venue with you! I wanted to create a space for the offbeat, non-​traditional celebrators out there. PointBreezeway turned out exactly the way I wanted it to be: a charming, eclectic venue that is best suited for intimate, homestyle gatherings.

This is truly the best thing I’ve ever done!

After searching for a place to host our rehearsal dinner, we thankfully happened to stumble upon Point Breezeway. We didn’t want a typical restaurant experience for our special evening, and could not have asked for a better setting. The space, both indoor and out, is beautiful and very well maintained. The décor is charming and fits the space so well that additional decorations aren’t necessary — which helps cut down on the cost of the evening.
During the planning process, Lauren was very responsive and willing to be of service. Lauren and her father, Dennis, were very gracious hosts and extremely helpful during every step of the process. Along with her mother, they all helped ensure that the evening was an overwhelming success. We are so appreciative for what was a night we will never forget.
We would HIGHLY recommend Point Breezeway for any event you are considering, as it truly is a special and memorable space with a fantastic owner.

This is such a magical place where my wedding felt like a fairytale. From the moment I toured to my wedding day, I knew this was the perfect venue for me and my husband. Lauren and her father are the nicest people you’ll ever meet let alone do business with;they are the perfect guides along the way. I can go on forever writing about the charm, beauty, and that certain je né sais quois that enchants this space and entices anyone that sees it to host an event of any sort. I would like thank lovely Lauren and her father for permitting me to have my wedding at their charismatic space as I count myself lucky to be a part of their amazing history. I would highly recommend to anyone whose looking to host any type of event as it’s the perfect canvas for anything that you might have in mind.

This place feels like it crawled out of a Dickens novel or transported from Nantucket but without feeling out of place in the Regent Square neighborhood. I was here after a First Friday concert at Frick park. It’s intimate, casual and a perfect place for a small intimate party or I guess they rent it out like a bed and breakfast.

I’ve been to one wedding here, plus several other cool events. PointBreezeway is elegant and the staff works very hard to get everything perfect. The space is flexible for indoor or outdoor gatherings and the ambiance is great. The wedding I attended took place in a small community garden across the street, then the reception was held at PointBreezeway. The owner works with some great caterers and musicians, so make sure you seek out his advice. PointBreezeway is elegant, fun and I highly recommend it.

WOW. What a great place. On Sunday we had our daughter’s college graduation party. The place is so charming and Dennis and Lauren are the best! We had about 30 people but the place is spacious and with the outdoor venue we had lots of space. I would do another event here in a second. Can’t wait for First Friday’s!

This place is PERFECT for a small gathering. It’s comfortable, quaint, and picturesque. We had 15 in our group. We set up food and drinks on one side, mingled and sat on the other. Because we were a small group, we didn’t use the outdoor tent, although we could have, if we had wanted it.
Dealing with Lauren to arrange the space and Dennis the night of our party made everything smooth and easy. I can’t say enough about how helpful, generous, and friendly they are. Every single person in our group commented on how fantastic the space is.

If you haven’t attended an event here– plan one! We just hosted my sister in law’s baby shower here for 50 guests and it was the perfect venue! From the time I contacted Lauren and then met her, I had nothing but positive experiences. She is friendly, easy to work with, accommodating and professional. During our event she along with her assistant Jenna were fantastic. They assisted with set up, provided support throughout the event and were not rushing us out the door when things ended. Several guests made comments on how welcoming they were. I also have to mention Lauren’s father Dennis. He was very kind and helpful during out set up.
The space is a cross between historic charm and anthropology’s décor. right up my ally! I would love for my home to look this way. The Pointbreezeway is a secret gem in Pointbreeze, Pittsburgh for the matter. I hope to host another event here soon!
Details that I wanted to know, that you might like to know:
Parking: excellent (we were there on a Saturday and the street was vacant)
Food: we brought our food in and found that they had ample space for a dessert table, drink station and we served our food on the farmhouse table in the same room. We also had a tent outside for the brunch alcohol bar.
Seating: small tables give an bistro type feel. Even with 50 people everyone seemed comfortable.
Clean up: I suggest the «little helper» so that you can be involved in the event and Lauren and Jenna can keep an eye on the food/​drinks and clean up. LOVED that they were conscious about recycling!
Décor; because of the tasteful décor, all we brought was a sign and flowers. so easy to set up and take down!

This place is SUPER adorable! My mind instantly goes to, what can I plan here? Of course, that’s the mind of an event planner. But seriously, this place is adorable, and if you have an event that you’d like a rustic atmosphere, look no further!
Apparently it used to be a speakeasy back in the day, which just adds to the cool factor. But they’ve really captured the essence of an old farmhouse, with exposed wood beams, original flooring, a reclaimed dining room table and more.
About 30 – 40 people could fit comfortably for a sit-​down affair, I bet you could get 50 if it was a cocktail party. Plus, there’s a small stage if you want some live music.
Obviously the winter is rough, but once we get past that, there’s an outdoor courtyard that you can have a cute little wedding ceremony in. Or a fun children’s birthday party. Really the options are endless. Just grab your favorite caterer for food and you’re good to go!

In a perfect world, this is how my house would look! My friend had her baby shower there this Sunday and it is just the most charming, perfect, adorable venue. I didn’t even know this place existed, but from now on I’ll be holding every event here.
I cannot more highly recommend this venue, it is a true hidden gem out by Frick Park. I can’t wait to come back here.
