Specialties
Easily one of the top specialty coffee shops in downtown Pittsburgh, if not the region. Featuring some the finest local micro-roasted coffee in Pittsburgh from La Prima Espresso and 19 Coffee Company. We offer properly extracted espresso for all our specialty drinks; single origin coffees brewed on our Trifecta (temporarily out of service while building renovations are in process. However, featuring single cup brewing with Aeropress or French Press); traditional (6 or 8 oz) cappuccino; lattes; the best chai tea in town!; steamers; Ghirardelli hot chocolate and seasonal specials; and a wide selection of loose leaf and traditional teas from Harney & Sons. We also specialize in iced and frozen coffee drinks and ice tea, and have easily become the best smoothie shop in the city. We feature 100% natural fruit smoothies, a broad menu of protein shakes using the best whey protein on the market (and plant based [vegetarian] option as well), and a selection of veggie fusion shakes featuring our top selling (and first in Pittsburgh) kale smoothie, as well as spinach, carrot, celery… plenty of menu and product options. Our intended niche is to offer healthy alternatives in addition to most standard specialty coffee house [menu] offerings.
History
Established in 2006.
Serving the community for 8+ years, we’re considered by regulars and visitors as the best coffee downtown (our disclaimer — be sure to check out 21st Street Coffee & Tea — most knowledgeable, and focused strictly on coffee and tea only). Throughout our years in business we have adjusted to our customers requests, resulting in the expansive (and healthy) menu that we offer, morphing into the best Pittsburgh smoothie bar that also sells excellent coffee. Located in the lobby of the Regional Enterprise Tower, we are a bit hard to find and continue to be one of Pittsburgh’s best kept secrets. We likely serve the best Americano in the city, and since opening offer drinks in ceramic for you to take a relaxing coffee break and enjoy an espresso or machiatto the way they should be served. We are proud that we’ve focused on local partners, serving fresh pastries from four different bakeries. (Seating and free wi-fi available.)
