Super Duper Carpet & Duct Cleaning

Oh Kevin… just like the other reviewers, Kevin. First off, I moved out of a rental home with 3 carpeted bedrooms, so I got the $ 50 for 3 rooms Living Social deal. The deal was good, but the company is a scam using the deal to get business and them up-​charging the hell out of you. I will be demanding a refund from Living Social, because in the end I did not get a good deal, and they have a Good Deal Guarantee. I had to get the carpets cleaned in a hurry, so I was stuck with what I had… my living social deal, otherwise I would have cancelled this order when he arrived and found someone else.
Kevin was very rude on the phone, but I thought maybe he was busy and in a hurry and wanted just the facts. He did schedule quickly.
Kevin showed up in time, and proceeded to tell me that I should have gotten the 6 room deal, even though I had 3 bedrooms. All furniture was out of the house, so there was nothing on the carpets. This was an easy job, from a carpet cleaning perspective. He said the closets in the bedrooms were as big as rooms, but he wasn’t going to charge me for them. I said, «No, they are as big as closets.» I figured I would pay a little out of pocket for the very small hallway and flight of stairs, but here’s the rub… he said he had to use Animal Chemicals because I had a dog, and he would provide them at cost ($ 37.50). Otherwise, the smell would be worse when the carpets were drying. He charged me an extra $ 3 per stair, $ 69, and some $ 25 Maintenance Cleaning fee. $ 132 later, in addition to the $ 50 I paid for the voucher, I said I would pay the difference on my credit card. He said the credit card machine was broken, and he would only take cash. WHAT A SCAM! Upsold me, tried to make me feel like I was getting some sort of deal, while at the same time telling me I should have gotten a better deal on-​line.
Once we had all that figured out, he then said, «Oh, I ain’t feeling too good. I had 2 beers last night, and I feel sick.» My daughter looked at me horrified. Then, Kevin started the job. We left to get him cash for the job. My daughter actually started crying in the car because Kevin was acting so strange. I ended up dropping her off at her mom’s house for a little while instead of bringing her back to that scene.
A half hour later, literally 30 minutes, he was done, and told me to go look at the carpets because he wanted to hear me say, «Holy sh-​t, because everyone says holy sh-​t.» Then he told me about how a «slanty-​eyed —– slum lord tried to get him to clean her carpets for $ 40.» There is an Asian family who lives across the street. The son was outside, and heard him say that. Then he told me about how much the carpet cleaning van cost ($ 68,000 if you are wondering), and how it does all the work.
He then dumped the dirty water on my lawn, even though there was a storm sewer 2 feet away.
The last thing he did was complain about his back killing him, and then screamed as he got in the van and drove off.
It was 8 in the morning.

I AM APPALLED AT HOW I WAS SPOKEN TO. I just got off the phone to scheduled a carpet cleaning after having purchased a groupon last night and WOW was the guy on the other line a giant #*hole. I was kind and polite and right off bat he was short and RUDE for no reason. At the end of the conversation I reminded him he had told me he needed my groupon number. He told me where to find it and SECONDS later as I am pulling it up he sarcastically and obviously annoyed says «take your time» I finally called him out on being rude to me and said in a CALM voice I am doing my best to pull the number up there’s no need to be rude to me. Well that set him right off. He yelled at me telling me «we’re not doing your cleaning!» If I could give a negative number of stars I would. Next time I will check Unilocal reviews before purchasing anything. Don’t waist your time or money on this place.

I wasn’t completely shocked to read poor reviews of this company based on Kevin’s demeanor but if you can look past the «yinzer professional» personality, your carpets will be in great shape.
I found this company through Groupon. I was concerned about the heavy stains but now my carpets look brand new! Let me break it down for you…
Kevin arrived spot on for my appointment time. He quickly got his equipment set up and was finished in an hour. Fast & efficient. There is an up charge if you have a pet but he told me that when I booked the appointment.
I got a free bottle of additional «super cleaner» for buying the Groupon & he thoroughly explained how to use it.
His service does require him to fill up his machine with water from the kitchen sink so my floor got wet from him refilling the cleaner. He cleaned up the water and wiped down my sink before leaving.
He does make off the wall comments but overall, it’s harmless. He is there to clean your carpets & you won’t be disappointed by the end result.

For me, what Kevin Super lacked in professional demeanor, he made up for in the quality of work and integrity. He was initially not very polite or friendly at all. He didnt even say hello, just wanted to know what rooms were to be cleaned. He really came off as rude and abrasive. I just thought he may have been having a bad day and tried to be kind. It worked, he started talking and never stopped! Lol. But all the while, I watched and saw the effort that he put into cleaning my carpets. It was a lot more than I had ever seen before. And the rugs looked cleaner and smelled wonderful when he was done. He didnt want to do one room because he said that the rug was too old and soiled and didnt think he could improve it much. I asked him to please try anyway and he did. It did come a bit cleaner but not much. But he didnt ask for payment on that room. That’s integrity. I would recommend Super Duper to others and plan to use them in the future too.

What a terrible company! He tried to up charge me for things that I repeatedly told him I didn’t need. When I refused to let him up charge me the morning of my appointment he stormed out like a child. Don’t use them!

Yo, this dude is weird. He tried to upcharge as much as he could. Very argumentative and dismissive. He cleaned the carpets, but dumped dirty water onto the front walk right at the front door. Very unprofessional.

SCAMMERS, RUDE, UNPROFESSIONAL. Bought their Groupon, guy taking appointments was rude on the phone. The cleaning guy himself shows up and starts listing all these fees that I was not told about and I’m starting to get the gist that I just bought the lowest of the low quality in carpet cleaning services. Once I called him out on feeling scammed he turned angry and shady and just started the work. I had 4 kids I had packed up ready to leave the house who were getting impatient or else I’d have told him forget the whole thing. I grabbed my iPad on the way out the door because I didn’t trust him as far as I could throw him. I called friends to pop in on him to make sure things were safe. End result: carpets still dirty since I wouldn’t agree to an up charge. Absurd.

I have used them twice in the past and was satisfied. I saw a deal on Living Social and bought it. When I called to schedule someone rushed right over. Kevin Super was extremely unprofessional. I was home with my kids (1, 3, 5) and he first told me that I had a «sexy tattoo» in front of them. Then he said, «boy, three kids, you must be going nuts.» He touched my 5 year old’s knee and told her she was too skinny then told me that to lose the baby weight I should stop eating. He did manage to clean my carpets in between the harassment. He also informed me that I had cheap carpet and that he would throw in a cleaning of my sofa if I «tipped him.» As he was filling up his bucket in my sink he began touching and commenting on my prescription medication. He asked me what I did for a living and then made me move furniture in my living room. Finally leaving, he grumbled how much he hated his job, that he «worked like a dog» and «needed to hit the lottery.» Even if they offered to service my home for free, I would not let that creep back inside. And he also connected with me on LinkedIn. Removing him NOW. Oh and he asked me to give him a good review online. So, here it is buddy! Hope you like it. Pig.

Called and got a good deal much cheaper than Stanley steamer so I booked a carpet cleaning for a house we were renting. A guy named Keith came over and was very talkative and friendly. He cleaned 7 rooms and 2 stairwells for $ 220. Very good price. He did the basement and then did the rest of the rooms. The carpets looked amazing and the place smelled great. I came back after running to my new place to grab my wallet and he was on his hands and knees wiping and cleaning the hardwood floors. Everything turned out amazing. He even wiped off the kitchen counters and stove top. Too bad I wasn’t able to enjoy the carpet because it wasn’t our house. Landlord came over and said they looked great. I would recommend this company to anyone looking to have their carpets professionally cleaned.

I used Super Duper cleaning services and I couldn’t be more happier! They did a fantastic job cleaning my carpet. I would definitely use them again in the future!

Similar to the previous reviewer, I found this company after a quick web search. They had the lowest prices in the area, so I went for it. The carpet got clean to the landlord’s satisfaction and I was only charged the agreed-​upon price. No problems there.
However, when «Kevin Super» came to clean the carpets, he also brought pamphlets about Duquesne Light «ripping us off» and tried to get us to switch our electric company. Weird and unprofessional, but not too big of a deal. He also suggested that my wife leave him alone in our apartment while he cleaned. Again, weird and kind of creepy, but I suppose it’s possible that his intentions were innocent.
Then the social media requests began. I had scheduled our cleaning via email and since then I have received periodic email invitations from him for Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter. Today I got an email from a site called GoFundMe, which I guess is like Kickstarter, except he doesn’t have to actually do anything. He’s just asking for money. I hired this guy to clean my carpet two years ago and now he wants me to just give him money to go to Disneyworld.
So sure, Super Duper Carpet Cleaning will get your carpet clean, and they may even do it on the cheap. Whether that’s worth years worth of email spam, well that’s your call.

I found this company online, and despite not being able to find many reviews, I decided to give them a call because of their $ 24.99 a room online coupon. When scheduling, I was asked if there were «any cats or dogs in the house.» I do have a cat, so I said yes, and the guy said there would be an extra $ 75 charge for «deodorizer,» which is mandatory. So my cost went from $ 50 for two rooms (neither of which need a deodorizer, and I’m pretty sure that choice should be up to the customer, since I’m the one who has to live with it!) to $ 125! Seems like a bait and switch almost…
The guy was polite, but VERY dismissive. He ended our call with «It doesn’t matter to us. That’s our policy. Call us back or call someone else.» I’ll definitely be calling someone else! Yikes!

Not even one star. Ruined one chair, scratched another, scratched paint off the wall and dented the refrigerator. Carpets are soaked. Cannot get the owner of this company to admit anything. Very unprofessional. Would never recommend.
