So far, next to the Pittsburgh Marshmallow stand, this is my biggest weakness at PPM!
My first foray into Sustenance was at Voluto Coffee where I bought a rather large looking fig newton. I had no clue how it would taste but I was starving and it looked good! Boy am I glad I did because it was awesome!
It’s such a treat to eat something «sweet» that I know actually uses all natural products. Plus, it makes me feel like I’m actually eating «healthy» (even though I know it’s still in the dessert category).
So my next stop HAD to be the stand at PPM! I knew I would be in trouble as soon as I laid my eyes on all the goodies! I was really intrigued by the brownies and coconut cashew cookies. The coconut won me over this time… but I’ll be back for you brownies… be sure of that!
The coconut cookies were every bit as good as I thought they’d be. They were SO moist… just delish! Next Saturday I’ll be at the market again… you will find me there buying out the place. Get there before I do… you’ve been warned!

They are described as «sweet treats using whole grain flour, alternative sweeteners, and all kinds of local fruits and veggies», but who needs words when the sights and smells are so alluring? A must-​try in the future.
