Awful and unethical business! They purposely loosen or break something in cars so you are compelled to continue coming back. Unfortunately for me, I caught it late and spent way more than they deserved. The mechanic Mike is a rip off artist. Do not let these people work on your car!

I brought my car here after seeing a coupon for an $ 11.99 oil change. Right away they tried to get me to upgrade to synthetic oil even though my boyfriend – a mechanical engineer retired from the oil industry – told me the regular was fine. A guy in a dress shirt and wearing a tie was very insistent even though I said I wanted to talk with my boyfriend on the phone first. My boyfriend said the regular oil was fine. The guy who was putting my info in the computer said they’d have to make some notes that I didn’t use the type of oil they recommended. Mr. Shirt-​and-​tie came back in the room and, upon hearing that I didn’t want to upgrade the oil, shook his head and scolded about «not even the right type of oil.» I told him I’m going to trust my boyfriend on this one.
So while I was waiting for the oil change, the guy who had entered my info in the computer went to the car service area and yelled a threat at someone else that he was going to «fucking» walk off the job. Someone patted him on the back. There, there, it’ll be okay, Butthurt Bob (for lack of knowing or caring about his real name).
While BB was getting his feathers smoothed, warning flags were going off for me. I looked up Purrfect Auto Service on Unilocal and saw all of the negative reviews. Concerned that they would actually do something to damage my car so they could insist (like other reviewers stated) that they needed to do additional work, I asked for my key back and said I had just read all of the negative reviews on Unilocal.Shirt-​and-​tie said, «I can’t control Unilocal.» Nope, and thank God for that. Purrfect Auto Service is unprofessional at the very least, and potentially criminal with the bait and switch. Gotta love the Internet. I’ll check Unilocal before wasting my time at another repair shop.

I needed a smog check and drove around two 4 different places. Many of them were way over priced so, I then went on line and saw that they had a special. I called and they were super friendly and told me to come on in and they could honor there online special. I went in thinking they’ll probably add on other prices and fees but they didnt. They were very honest and just let me know what other problems my car had no pushing me to do anything. It took less then 15 mins and I was done. I will definitely be going back for my future inspections or any of my car troubles. thank u for the fast grrrrreat service. oxox

Horrible Customer Service. Parts are CHEAP! They do not use quality parts at this establishment and charge a fortune. Please, don’t waste your time or money coming to this place!

I’ve been trying to get a smog here for a week! Both times that I’ve come here their smog tech is «sick» and they cannot do smogs that day! Really?!? The only reason I tried getting my smog done here is because they have a coupon for a $ 20 smog check. Like usual, if it sounds to good to be true, then it probably is. Stay away from this place!!!

The place is very unprofessional. Tried 3 different times to smog my car. The tech is never available to smog vehicles. I strongly discourage anyone from ever going to this place of business and wasting their time.

This shop has always treated me right. I’ve been in a few times and it’s always saved me money. As a single girl I tend to be a target but they are always respectful and make sure I don’t waste any money. Fast service as well! Ali definitely takes pride in his business.

Terrible place for smog checks. Ripped off my family and should be reported to the better business bureau.

Highly recommend this perfect auto location. The professionalism and customers service quality is on point. I had auto repair work done at another purfect auto location (Glendora) and I was not pleased with their service and then I was referred to Frank at the Placentia and him and Ali (the mechanic) went over and above to fix the problems my car had. I was very happy with their service and follow through!!! I highly recommend you go through them.

I would give this place negative stars if I had to. Needed to get my car smogged, turns out penny saver had a coupon for this place, so decided to give it a try. Long story short. Made me waited 4 – 5 hours for a dam smog test, and it ended up didn’t passing. Which was a sketch because my car always passed smog test! My car ended having a bad alternator several days later, and they charged me $ 450 to replace it… What a total ripoff. There all sketchy people especially the guy who wears the blue hat backwards ha!!! Hate this place

I cannot believe this place is still in business. I was totally ripped off for $ 650 in repairs that I’m not even sure was done. Definitely something going on here. I read the Unilocal reviews too late and already had the supposed work done on my car. While I was waiting in the lobby every single person was told they needed repairs. It didn’t matter if they came in for a smog, an oil change — they all were told something was «broken» on their car. Just wish I had checked Unilocal before authorizing work done on my car. DO NOT to to Purrfect Auto.

Not a place where you want to go for a smog check. Worse customer experience ever! Purrfect Auto Service should revoke their franchisee agreement. If you had a bad experience with this particular auto shop. I highly suggest you write or call their corporate office and complain.

The worst place to bring your car. I purchase the Planet Super Saver coupons. I called to make an an appointment and they told me that they do not do appointments, is in first come first serve. Ok, I arrived at 1:00pm an there’s only the counter employee and one guy in the work area with a very very bad attitude that told me «I have 3 cars on service and I can’t make the oil change to your car». By the way there’s nobody in the waiting area.
I came back another day and the counter employee (a woman) told me that I have to put synthetic oil on my car (New Manager), if not they will not make the work. I wasted my money from the Planet Super Saver coupons, gas to arrive to that «worst car service place» and my time!!!
I suggest the name is changed to: «Purrfect Sh… t Auto Service»
Don’t waste your money and your time in this terrible, horrible, very bad place!!!

The horrible Purrfect Auto Center in Placentia. I’m pissed off my radio they putting a Mercedes radio in its broken. The air conditioner they put doesn’t work I’m going to have to sue and take them to court don’t trust Purrfect Auto Center in Placentia.

Came in here only for the Groupon I had, sneaky of them to hide $ 10 in fees even with the purchase on the Groupon. I would stay away, even in the waiting room they are trying to convince people to pay more; to fix «minor issues» Unilocalers don’t be fooled by the low price *HIDDEN FEES*

Don’t be fooled by their low price coupon for smog check. Classic bait and switch. Told extra $ 5 for minivan over the phone. Come and Mike gives us a total of $ 35 out the door ($ 20 for service, $ 9 for certificate, plus extra for taxes, van etc) Goes into the office and female cashier tells us extra $ 10 for a van. She was told Mike quoted us $ 35 she goes out to confirm and rings up the service contract for $ 35. Took my keys, waited for about 10 mins, then another male comes in and would not honor the agreed service contract price. This place deserves the low rating similar to other reviewers.
They tried to charge me a higher price in the past when I brought in a sedan because it was a «German» car. I should have learned my lesson from the past experience.

Came her with a coupon. While waiting I was checking Unilocal reviews. I saw one referring to cold air intake hassle. Before they started the job, I showed the «mechanic» the sticker that my intake came with. Lexus F Sport item. The guys told me he does not see the code in the arb website, therefor he won’t work on the car. I said, «OK» and was gonna leave when he said to come and look at his computer, I said it’s okay. He is the expert in the area, so I would take his word for it. He then INSISTED that I go look, cuz he «don’t’ want to piss off his customers». I saw the screen and thought was odd. So I did a research and found a resolution to the same issue on the same arb website. I then told him I wanted to show him my findings. He refused to see it. I then insisted only because I had enough courtesy to look at his reasons when he insisted. I finally got him to look. I showed him the letter of resolution from arb website that instructs another code to be used. Clear as day was the solution. I told him that he does not have to smog my car. But he should extend the same courtesy to others.
I left the location obviously. Went down the street and got it passed with flying colors. No issues.
Some professionals research and keep them selves up to date. Others, just stick to what they know and think it’s the only absolute solution… And they fail. I will say that there was the guy who greeted me and a younger thin guy who wrote the service up. They seem professional and was willing to work with me. But the older, thin mechanic is B O.
I would recommend other shops over this. Don’t get fooled by that penny saver coupon. It’s a bait and switch, like a crossed eyed hooker with sunglasses on.

This place is ok nothing special. I was in the area and needed an oil change badly. The mechanic who was working on my car was very pushy about getting synthetic oil but I had to say no thank you another time like 50 times it was annoying. No means no dude. Besides that everything was ok. Everyone else seemed nice.
