I took my 1972 V-​8 Ford Pinto for a carburetor problem I couldn’t figure out. I was willing to pay whatever to solve the problem. Joe not only fixed it, but dynoed it for around 100 dollars (A super bargain to me).Everyone I came in contact with was really cool, seamed like they cared about my business. It was the second time I took it there with a carb problem that I couldn’t figure out and he fixed it.

I totally agree with the others guys review, he took the words right out of what I was gonna post. They are all talk and way to over confident! Very nice looking shop with good equipment, well most of it. There bore and hone jobs don’t seal rings very well (Diamond Hone). And they know this, so they went out and bought a «ra» gauge to figure it out. Not sure if they got there stuff together yet. I had them sleeve a block and they totally messed it up and had to refund my customer let alone the time lost. This place may have been good back in the day when the owner actually worked on cars. No disrespect to him, but he is old now and all his workers are just sucking him dry, and not producing what this company was built on“good American Quality «. They need to fire some people and get a real manager that can properly take care of customers and give reasonable prices. I think the owners mean well, but workers can’t produce top notch work that they think they are producing. Stay away from this overpriced, shabby quality over hyped shop! You will get screwed!
Oh ya every time I went there when I was there, Arlene was always on the phone dealing with unhappy customers. This is all true, my hand is on the bible!

My wife and I have owned several Pro Street cars over the last 20+ years. we still have them. We live in Lake Elsinore which is about 40 miles from Placentia and anyone that deals with the 15 and 91 interchange know this is a tough drive.

We use a very competent engine builder in our own area who tunes the cars, builds and repairs the motors. I bring our cars to Superior for Dyno Tuning and when there is a problem that other skilled professional mechanics can’t seem to sort out.
From the time we started doing business with them in Garden Grove 20 years ago I want to say that Don and Arlene along with the ENTIRE staff at Superior have been nothing but AMAZING.
I remember several specific incidents one with a 51 Merc running a built dual quad 440 that was just built would not run right our mechanic couldn’t figure it out so we towed it down to Garden Grove. a day or so later Arlene called and told me we had a cracked block… wow really in a new motor. the engine builder after being given the results admitted that he didn’t magna flux the block and took responsibility…
I could go on and on but suffice to say Superior Automotive is just that SUPERIOR…

The nice looking shop and a lot of talk is all you will get here. Many years before Unilocal these people then located in Garden Grove area, took me for over 10k in a 327 that would not stop leaking. First small claims court judge agreed with me. They got an attorney who knew the judge, I didnt have one. Didnt think I needed one, it was clear cut, bad work. Did everything they recommended and it was a piece of junk motor with poor workmanship. Combine this with an owner who in attempted to get physical with me and you got what these folks are about. Avoid these scammers posing as know it all experts.

I have C5 and they hooked me up with a great heads and cam set up. Great service great experience very knowledgable they treat you like your going to your buddies garage to hang out. Except they really make your ride go FAST. Dyno run and tuning what what a great time.

Good shop, they go the extra mile when you have problem. They found problems that the other machine shops didn’t. Like that they are straight forward and tell you what is needed for your engine and aren’t worried about getting it out the door and getting paid. They staff is very knowledgeable in all applications.

We had the BEST experience with Superior Automotive. We had a horrible experience with a shop in Lake Havasu, so we pulled our boat home, removed the engine, brought it to Superior and they rebuilt our motor. Their service and attention to detail is impeccable. Highly recommend them!

Just had the MOST AWFUL SERVICE here by the owner. My husband called yesterday to make sure they could take our car in so we can get AAA to tow the car there. The person he spoke said to go ahead and bring there car over today. We got there and dealt with the owner who didn’t even care that her employee had misinformed us. She didn’t care and said their booked till next month. You would think since it’s their error they would accommodate us because we went through all the trouble with getting AAA, etc. I know they offer okay work there but with that sort of bad service and miscommunication it will kill the business. I can say for my family and I, we will NOT be bringing our business here and will definitely let our friends and family know not to bring their business there either. If it’s possible to give zero star I would. HORRIBLE SERVICE!!!

Hmmmm… I see Superior Automotive moved… but failed to take their reviews with them. Nice try at dodging unhappy customers. Prospective customers should take a look at their Unilocal review history at their old address.

We had our club dyno day there. One word to describe shop is amazing. They take great pride in their work and it show by the owners pride in it. My car was running rich and I will definitely be back to get it tuned up for maximum HP and gas mileage.
