The UPS Store

This is one of those stores that are tucked within a shopping center, that you continually drive past and don’t think about. Until you need to utilize it, and it opens your eyes further.
I had to return my AT&T U-​Verse equipment and was told to simply drop it off at my nearest UPS store and they’d ship it out free, with my account number.
When I walked into the store, it was open, clean, and neatly organized. I was greeted by a gentleman, in a uniformed shirt, and he knew I was there to return my items. He entered my account number, confirmed my information, and assured me I could track its return progress.
There were more services this tiny store offered, than I could imagine. They make keys, engraved plates, labels, have PO Boxes, sell basic school/​office supplies, of course mail packages, offer copying and fax services, sell greeting cards, and more! I used to drive out of my way to get those things taken care of, and here I have a gem of a location with goods and services, within walking distance of my home.
Thanks UPS, for the reminder of what you sell and can make easier for my family.

I upped it to three stars, I understand not all you’re employees care about the shop as much as they should, and don’t hold u responsible. Based on my experience, the customer service here is horrible… I got here at 4:55 on a Saturday and stood quietly while they helped the last customer. When he got around to me, it was 5:01 and realized he would have to pack my box and print out a return label, he told me they were closed. I walked in the doors before u closed, so if that were the case, they should have told me that while I was waiting patiently, not when they realized they were gonna get held up a couple minutes longer. I understand they want to go home, and if I were there past 5, that would be on me. Very little courtesy and very rude to send a customer out the door for selfish reasons.

Very bad customer service and rude employees. The lady named Katie rolled her eyes on us and was rushing to get our passport photos and the photo turned out not centered. We complained to Eric and demanded to retake our photos. He first refused to do it and argued with us. He ended up doing it after we insisted but gave us an attitude about it. Horrible staff… I feel sorry for their employer losing business because of them. Will never come back to this UPS store ever again. UPS — please send your staff to a good customer service training. They need it sooo bad!

Update 2÷22÷16: Susan from The UPS Store corporate connected with me through Facebook and offered to look into my situation. Today, Monday, she emailed the owner of the store and filed a formal complaint for me. She called and left me a voicemail. I had emailed the owner on Friday explaining my situation. This evening the owner called me and offered a full refund. I don’t know if he was responding to Susan at corporate or my email but I’m grateful for some positive resolution. I appreciate Susan’s help in the matter but don’t think I’ll be returning to this store. I had to put in a lot of effort for a resolution. The owner should empower the employees to make things right. I’ve upgraded review from one star to two but can’t bring myself to give three stars because of the hassle.
My son lives in San Diego and needed an official copy of his birth certificate as proof of ID for a potential job. I needed to get it to him ASAP. I went in to this store at 6pm on Wednesday and asked the gentleman what my options were. I settled on next day delivery before close of day (8pm) and paid him $ 26. The next day I decided to track the delivery and discovered that it would not be delivered until close of day FRIDAY, not Thursday as I had expected. My son needed the document so that he could go in to the potential employer Friday and start the hiring process. His opportunity was now jeopardized. I called the store just before closing Thursday night and was told to come in the next day, that they were essentially closed and there was nothing to be done. This obviously was no help to me so I emailed UPS customer service. No help. I was told that I needed to resolve my problem with the store. Friday after work I went in to the store and spoke with the same man that helped me on Wednesday. I asked him why, if I paid for next day delivery, the document wasn’t going to be delivered until Friday. After doing some research, he explained that the cut off time for UPS pickup is 5pm and since I came in at 6pm I missed that cut off, therefore the package was not delivered Thursday as I expected, but actually went to UPS Thursday and thus was to be delivered Friday by close of day. I told him had I known this I would not have paid $ 26 for what was essentially two day delivery. Explaining the situation with my son, I said the only thing I wanted now was a refund, since I did not get what I paid for, and was not aware of the 5pm cut off time (he did not mention this on Wednesday). He immediately consulted a female employee, I assume the manager, and after they conferred in the back in hushed tones, she came back and told me. apologetically, that there was nothing they could do for me and gave me the business card for the owner of the store, Bardia. I now have an email out to Bardia, and one to UPS corporate, but do not expect a favorable resolution. I am very disappointed by my experience. I think it was the male employee’s responsibility to inform me Wednesday of the 5pm cut off time and that the document would not arrive until Friday, so that I could have made a fully informed decision. He essentially agreed with me as I was leaving. I just moved to the area and this store would be very convenient for me to do my postal business, but I will not be back and do not plan to use UPS again, having had much better experiences with Fed Ex, even though they are much less convenient. No one from this store replies to the negative reviews so I guess they don’t care.

I went in to ask for a box to pack a 46 inch TV. If the packet themselves it cost $ 65 to buy a box of that size they would have to make it and it will cost $ 45. Customer service was average. I thought that was a bit overpriced.

The younger Caucasian guy with glasses name Aaron and the manager named Katie that work there are extremely rude and unprofessional. They gave me false and incorrect information about billing and shipping over the phone. When I came into the store I was giving extreme attitude and they had changed the prior information that they had told me when I had gone to the ATM and taken out a certain amount of money to pay for the postage. The guy and the girl were very condescending and smiling and laughing at me treating me as if I was dumb I normally don’t send out a huge application for a license so yes I am not that experienced but I do not deserve to be mocked. When I asked the guy for his name he laughed and said my name is Antonio once again mocking me I will never ever step foot in this ups again and I walked out I couldn’t believe how unprofessional the manager was and didn’t even apologize for her rude associates when I called back Katie the manager even had the nerve to hang up on me. I am going to definitely speak to the owner of this location since they made sure to tell me it’s a franchise they both seem like they didn’t care about their jobs or if I complained very unprofessional I’ve never been treated like this before!

Horrible rip off! I went in here many times what a scam. I have a package to ship buyer payed 61.61 they were charging me 90. I went on the ups website and they were going to charge me 76. They r just wanting to make money. THIS PLACE IS A SCAM DONT GO HERE!!!

Been coming here for years to drop off Amazon returns with no problem at all. But today, I saw something incredible– one of the workers (I think her name was Katie?) told off an older Asian man for belittling her and putting her down because she was a woman, in the most professional and emotionally stable way I’ve seen. She told him she didn’t appreciate him talking to her like that and warned him that she would ask him to leave if he didn’t stop. He refused to stop, so she asked him to leave. He then asked for her name, so she confidently gave him her card and name. It was so awesome to see a working woman stand up for women! Props and mad respect to you, Katie.

On 7÷31÷15 at about 11:30am I went to drop off a package at this location since the ups on Yorba Linda st closed down. I walked in with my box, one person ahead of me. Instead of being greeted with a simple hi/​hello all I got was «is that a drop off» I said yes but I’ll wait because I need a receipt. He then told me to put it on the other side of the counter no please or anything more like giving me a command rather than asking. Next I asked why he wasn’t using a plastic envelope for the label (since previous label was larger and even with the new one taped on top, the old barcode was still visible) he simply said «it’s easier this way» never gave me an option. Gave me the receipt he said thank you, I said okie. And then when I am already at the door he raises his voice and let’s out a sarcastic «have a nice day». Thankfully there are several UPS drop offs in the area so I will not be returning to this one. So in comparison to other UPS stores I’ve visited, this one at the most earned one star out five today.

Got some keys made, some boxes shipped, some documents sent, great multi service store

We needed a Notary and found it at this UPS store, very convenient and prompt service. While we were there I found some cute cards that I could not resist and I see they have post office boxes as well as all kinds of mailing products. We are happy to have found this place.

This is a great store, staffs are very friendly and helpful. Definitely one of the best UPS store in the area!
Usually there wont be long line to wait because staff handle things in a fast speed.

The clerks are nice but u need to double check their work! They forgot to put a name on the package I sent and transposed the address. Since the store is a franchise (like all stores) UPS CS won’t help to fix it. 3 day shipping was more expensive than overnight at FedEx and it won’t be delivered until day 7. The package was to be delivered a day before a baby shower, the lady hosting the shower can’t leave to go pick it up and the recipient of the package at the baby shower offered to drive to facility to get it, they won’t release the package to her. I will never use UPS again! Even USPS isn’t this bad!

Been going to this UPS store for as long as i can remember. Katie and Bardia are great and super friendly. Good location. Expedient and helpful

I’ve been using this store as my business address since 2007 and it’s always been great. Everyone at the store knows me by name and treats me well. No matter what I need they take good care of me. If you need a mail box or any shipping needs this is the place to go.

Slow AND EXPENSIVE for lamination. (Really? Three seventy-​four to laminate a piece of regular 8″-by-11″ paper? And why did it take five minutes to do? I was the only customer in the store.)
But what really rustles my whiskers is the fact that this store doesn’t carry paper bags for regular-​sized documents. As a result, the poor young clerk spent three minutes trying to shoehorn my newly laminated document into a teeny-​tiny bag. WTF is with a store featuring office products NOT having a variety of bags for their customers.
There are a crapload of UPS locations in the area. Keep moving.

Great neighborhood location and friendly knowledgable staff, the manager Bardio went above and beyond to help me when I had a package disaster

The splendor of the season draped over the land. Yet, despite the merriment, she knew that one final quest remained before she could find the respite she needed.
Far away, a young princess awaited the box. Could she make the journey that would bring the box to its rightful place at the princess’ side?
With a sigh of resolution, she slid her sword into the scabbard at her waist, cradled the box in her arms, and called to her dog. It’s time.
She and her dog passed through the mist-​shrouded village and made their way to the path that would wind through the land to the ones who could help transport the box to the awaiting princess.
Knowing that it would not be an easy journey, she was surprised at the number of metallic demons between her and the ones. Sword in hand, she battled past the demons and arrived where the map had guided her. Surely the ones were here.
Box still cradled in her hand, she strode to the opening of the place indicated on the map, the U.S. Post Office. Alas, she was too late. They had closed at the setting of the sun.
With a short whistle as a signal to her faithful dog, she turned and followed the map’s direction to seek the ones who could help.
With the night growing more dark and the air more chilly, she finds herself again at the opening of a place that might bring her hope. Signaling to her dog to wait at the threshold, she holds the box a bit closer and steps into the place.
A sigh escapes her lips. She has found them. The two men were waiting for her. They saw her package and knew that they could help. With a smile, they assured her that the package would make its way to the fair princess in the far away land.
She hands the precious box to the ones, smiles, and leaves. She and her dog make the final trek home, knowing that the joy of the season has been saved.

Quick, easy, spent more than I thought it was going to cost. Beats going to the Post Office at this time of the year.

With the holidays surrounding all of us. I’m sure everyone had to send something in the mail or even UPS. I went to post office and was trying to send some alcoholic beverages but they informed me that you can’t send liquids.
Shit what was I thinking when they asked me what was in the box and how much was the approximate value. Usually I ask questions first before I answer, questions like …
— Why you being so nosy?
— Will there be dogs sniffing my package?
— What’s it to ya?
— You want street value or the amount I got it for?
— Why do you ask?
— What CAN’T I say is in the package?
Well now you know, you can’t send any liquids. If you mess up at USPS, find your nearest UPS store and just call it food. Service is great here. you don’t even have to give your real name and address if you don’t want to, they didn’t check.
All kidding aside. If you need to send a package because you don’t want to drive a gift, the UPS store is a great alternative to the USPS. I sent something and it arrived the next day … yeah, I know I was only sending to LA but still.
$ 10 for a 15lb package, not bad … is it? I’m not familiar with pricing of shipments but it sure beats driving in traffic.
