A great place to go for a tasty meal. The service is great, the atmosphere is fun and relaxing, and the salsa is fantastic.

My first time in here, I slowly walked in and was confused as to how far I was supposed to walk in before seeing a hostess. The seating is super weird, literally tables as soon as you walk in but you need to walk even further to actually be seated. Our waiter was alright. He probably didn’t know some of his actions were rude but I think that’s a culture thing. I got the shrimp tacos, the tacos were very tasty actually. But the beans were a bit too coagulated and the rice a tad cold even though the plate was hotter than the food itself. Pretty standard Mexican food place, service is subpar, and the food is alright. Good when you’re craving it since there’s not many good Mexican places out there that I’ve seen

Was craving Mexican and we came here, not a good choice. I guess I was looking for more authentic Mexican food. I had fish tacos and with enough salsa and hot sauce poured over the top, it was edible. The service was not great. Our server was too busy to even make eye contact with us while taking our order and also had to be flagged down couple of times throughout dinner. Only good thing I had was the Jamaica. It’s a hibiscus tea drink. Verdict: don’t think I will go back.

The Whole Enchilada has been around for a long time. It’s been one of our favorite Mexican Restaurants. A place you don’t mind waiting 20 mins. for a table on a Friday evening. It’s not a fancy place, but the atmosphere is fun and festive. Come on your birthday and they’ll take a photo of you wearing a Sombrero hat that you get to keep. You get a free birthday dessert too! Once your seated, you’ll be served a basket of their fresh fried tortilla chips and fantastic salsa. Today my daughter ordered her favorite dish of chicken flautas($ 10.69). Two flour tortillas filled with chicken, verde sauce, guacamole and sour cream. My wife and I each ordered«The Whole Enchilada»($ 11.69), choice of three items, served with refried, charro or black beans and rice. She had two beef tacos and a cheese enchilada. I had a beef taco, chile relleno and a cheese enchilada. The food is delicious and the servers are all friendly, helpful and attentive. Wonderful place to meet family or friends for a good time out.

Great food, good service. I love the Monterey Chicken. Steamed veggies, chicken breast in creamy cilantro sauce, and rice. The servers always make sure that your chips and salsa(chips are thin, awesome!) are full while you’re waiting for food, then after your meal they bring you a few warm cinnamon chips– so delicious! Healthy too so can’t wait for this place to be a regular spot!

I heard such great things about this place and was sadly disappointed. Normally I do not give a bad review having only been there once but in all honesty the server was that bad I have no desire to go back again. We got there and they were slammed. Surprised on how small the location actually is. The hostess was very nice and accurate with the time we had to wait. Yes the waiting area is nice and kid friendly with their aquarium. We got seated and chips/salsa was right away. The server whom I wish I would have gotten his name was very fast, never actually looked at us when talking or taking our order. We had to ask for refills, napkins and place settings since we were missing one. We felt very rushed there the entire time. We had to ask for more chips and salsa. When I asked for a to go box he brought it over and it dropped on the floor and he let me pick it up myself and walked away. Yah we won’t be going back.

One of my very favorite places to eat in town! My family and I have been coming here for years. We almost always order the same thing. Make sure to get their table side guacamole it’s so delicious!!! Salsa is always flavorful. One thing that I love is that they always recognize us and greet us. They have a few servers who have been there for a long time. I absolutely recommend this place. It may not be super authentic Mexican food but it’s always tasty!

My wife lived in the area years ago, so a visit here was a trip down memory lane for her. Her first thought upon entering is that it hadn’t changed at all in the years since she had moved away. Even though it was my first time, I could agree. It appeared it had been a few years since the carpet was changed or the seating reupholstered, had been at least a few days since there had been a thorough cleaning. I maneuvered around the large rip in the booth upholstery to find a spot to sit, my daughter used her napkin to clean up a spot of something on her side of the booth. The Whole Enchilada building appears like it started life as an iHop in the 1970s and the look hasn’t changed much. Too bad, because the food is actually pretty good. The Reuben’s special features delectable shredded chicken in a flour tortilla, cooked like a chimichanga and topped with a tasty relleno sauce. Very good. My fish tacos were very good, it was obvious the fish was breaded and fried to order, nice touch. Salsa is flavorful, prices are very reasonable, beer selection, whilst limited, was served ice cold. It would be nice if the place was cleaner and in better state of repair, but I guess you can’t have everything.

Recently I moved to Fullerton and I have been exploring different restaurants, The Whole Enchilada has been my all time favorite and possibly my favorite restaurant in Orange County. I have had a few different menu items and I’ve been pleased with all especially their pina coladas! Highly recommend this place!

I forget about how good this place is since it’s right around the corner from me. I hate trying to eat out when I’m low-carb dieting. We were at the beach today and were tired, I just wanted to eat something quick & not too fattening. Lol. Salads are all the same everywhere you go but they’re safe. Well I got lucky here because the steak salad was so delicious! It’s marinaded in something awesome and was super tender. It was came medium-well and was perfect. Tim’s whole enchilada plate was much more yummy of course. I know because I sampled everything from my side of the table. Haha. The ranchero burrito is a pork burrito smothered in green sauce — it was great. The green chile tamale and cheese enchilada were also very tasty. The servers have been attentive every time that I’ve been here, the staff is very nice. Overall I enjoy coming here because the food is reliable & just good!

The Whole Enchilada is a great Mexican restaurant with even better service. They have a wide variety of dishes to choose from and a nice selection of drinks too. Everything is reasonably priced and I have never left hungry. The staff is very friendly. I plan on coming back many more times

My wife and I have been going here for the past 6 years. We love it. She actually grew up in the area, and ate there back in the day. We like the food(I always get the large taquitos), but the service is excellent. A lot of the same guys are still there from when she was a kid. It fun to know the small business has a low turnover. Must mean the people are happy there, and it translates over when they deal with customers. They always have a smile on. Prices are pretty good, and the portions are a good amount also.

Not authentic mexican food. Its very basic. The flavor of the food is decent but not great. Ive been here twice and the first time the service was good but last time the waiter looked irritated. There are much better mexican places in the area. This place has horrible décor and looked outdated. Just wasnt very impressed with this place.

My boyfriend and I just moved to the area and we were dying to try this place. I eat Mexican food often, and I have to say I was very disappointed with the food here. The service was horrible also, our server seemed annoyed when we asked for a refill on our sodas, and also never came back once he dropped off the food. We won’t be going back. To end this with the only positive I experienced– good rice.

First time here. How could I not order the«Whole Enchilada» I had to sample several items. Yummmmm All so tasty. It felt awkward that I was the most ethnic person here tonight. It’s all good! Fresh food, nice servers and service with a smile. Nice customers too! Wish they had a bar though!

Very casual Mexican restaurant. Basically the Denny’s of Mexican food. Random take out window to the front as you walk in. The décor is quite dated and mixed matched. You can tell they’ve become busier than projected, and turned half of the waiting seats into a table/booth. Every Mexican restaurant is judged by its chips and salsa… And this place were to be judged on that alone, they’d be damn near 5 stars. Crispy, warm chips in a perfectly sweet, rich and spicy salsa. I got a talapia al mojo de ajo(garlic butter sauce). Mind you they make the seasoning for their shrimp plate, so I requested the seasoning on my talapia fish, which was not a set menu item. The Plate definitely lacked anything interesting. Super standard, fish was dry, seasoning was half assed, and rice was dry. Cadillac margarita was also very sugary, again, very standard. Overall, this place lacks authenticity but isn’t terrible. Decent for a quick lunch or casual dinner.
