History

Established in 1990.

Perform residential and commercial inspections. Insight Inspections, Inc., is a private inspection and consulting firm, having personally performed over 6000 residential, multi-​family, and commercial inspections in California. These inspections included assessment of overall and specific component condition for acquisition and sales, habitability disputes, and problem and defect diagnosis. Served as representative for the American Institute of Inspectors® to the Coalition of California Home Inspectors (CCHI), actively involved in legislative issues affecting the home inspection industry in California. Currently co-​chairman of the CCHI Legislative Steering Committee. Also served the Federal Government, Small Business Administration conducting hurricane and flood damage Loss Verification inspections in Louisiana, Mississippi, Florida, New Jersey and New York.

Jon G.

Business Owner

Jon began his construction career in the late 1970’s in Santa Cruz, CA. He was married and moved to Yreka, CA in 1981 where his first child was born. Jon continued his construction career in Yreka and became a licensed general contractor in 1983. After the birth of their daughter in in 1986, Jon and his family moved to Placerville, CA, where Jon continued his career in construction working for a local commercial construction firm, Carter Kelly, for a few years. In 1990 after a couple more years of general contracting Jon obtained training to become a private building inspector. Jon pursued both the inspection and construction fields until 1995 when he went full time into the inspection business. Inspection work continues to be Jon’s full time business. Jon enjoys outdoor activities, music and travel. He is an active member of his church and is very happy to be married to the lovely Amy since 1981.
