EXCELLENT SERVICE! Nick and James were both very courteous, honest and speedy in returning my vehicle. They properly corrected repairs that were incorrectly replaced by another auto shop and checked all other issues. My car was diagnosed and repaired before the original date of completion they estimated, because they were so busy. But they went above and beyond and checked out the issues immediately. I can’t say enough great things about these guys and recommend them to all!

The first time I went in on a referral from Big O, Josh helped me out to identify the problem with one of my coils. He didn’t even charge for his time. He got me through some months and did great work when I brought my vehicle back. They are knowledgeable, take time to do things right, very friendly and honest. That is rare. I am a loyal and grateful customer!

My van started shaking as I was travelling down highway 50 coming from the mountains, headed to the Bay Aea, so I pulled off in Placerville to see if I could find someone to take a look at it. Big O tires was the first place I saw, but they were too busy, so they referred me to J&J Auto Care, which was right up the street. I pulled in and talked to Josh, who told me they wouldn’t have time to look at it for about another hour or so. I told him my situation and he went into the garage, pulled out a rolling jack and told me he would have a quick look at it right then and there. He jacked up the front end and looked underneath, tinkered around a bit (did I mention it was raining?) and said he would have to get it up on the rack to find out what was wrong. He wouldn’t have time for another hour. He asked me to pull the can up to the garage so he could fill the tires with the proper air pressure. Josh was a really nice guy, and willing to help. He didn’t charge me anything for the time he spent looking at my van. I get the sense that these guys are a trustworthy lot. I don’t know what he did, but when I got back on the freeway the issue had resolved itself.

This place was awesome. Our check engine light came on, and our car started rattling right before we were hitting the base of the mountain. We were heading to Tahoe from San Francisco so we weren’t familiar with area. We dropped by a local store who told us they were the closest mechanics. We called at 4:55, 5 minutes before they closed, to ask if they could stay open to give our car a look. Without hesitation, they said bring it on by. Turns out one of our spark plugs and its coil were shot. They replaced it right then and there and we were back our way to Tahoe within 30 minutes. Any other place would of shut the door on us. Thanks guys for being so friendly and understanding. We really appreciate it!

I took my 1991 GMC Sonoma truck in because it didn’t pass smog. The shop had been recommended to me by a couple of people, including someone from the local auto parts place. They replaced the catalytic converted and suggested replacing the O2 sensor while they were in there. The sensor was just $ 30. The catalytic converter was, as expected, more, darnit anyway :) I took the truck back to the smog shop and it passed the smog test with flying colors. The two mechanics (the «J’s» in J&J) seemed diligent and honest. They got the work done in short order and at a schedule that worked for me. I’ll go back.

They’re knowledgeable, honest, quick, and reasonable. I brought my car in when it was making a strange noise. They weren’t sure what it was but before charging me to open it up and look at it he asked a few questions. I am embarrassed to admit, but it was so low on oil that’s what was causing the noise. So, rather than taking the opportunity to make some money opening the car, they put some oil in and said to let that run through for a bit to clean everything out then come in for an oil change. I’ve been coming here ever since!

Great place, good people and fast and friendly. They have a nice clean waiting room with a yummy keurig coffee maker with lots of flavors to choose from while you pass the time. Definitely coming back!
