Established in 2009.

Russ Corey, owner & lead installer, has 21 years of experience in the garage door industry starting in 1992 as an installer. He held positions with a national manufacturer, Wayne Dalton, as residential service manager, commercial estimating manager and national sales. In 2008 he decided to start his own company.

The company is located in New Albany and services the greater Columbus, Ohio area.

Angela assists her husband Russ handling sales and marketing for Expert Garage Doors. Angela has a background in sales & marketing working in hotels for 11 years before moving to New Albany. Her favorite position was at the historic Duke Manion located in Charlote, NC as Director of Meetings & Events.

She enjoys the creative side of her job working on marketing and advertising, and has her own business designing jewelry.

Russ and Angela have been married for 22 years. They share their home with a 2 year old Havanese-​Poodle named Harper. In their free time they enjoy outdoor activities, traveling and spending time with their 5 nephews & 4 nieces.

I was having trouble we our garage door and they were able to come out the next working day. They walked me through my questions on a potential replacement. Fortunately that was not required.

Angela scheduled the appointment so Russ would be nearby already. She was friendly. I had purchased a garage door inspection and roller replacement deal through Angie’s List and the appointment was scheduled for a week away from the time I called.
Russ was also friendly and seemed to know a lot about garage doors. He inspected the door, replaced the rollers, and replaced some hinges that had broken off prior to the visit. Two of the panels were sagging so he suggested bracing them to prevent further damage to the door. He advised getting a new garage door opener in the future (and left some literature with models and prices) to meet knew safety standards. He showed me the sticker that indicated the door and opener were installed in the 80s.
It was only additional $ 66 for the bracing and extra hinges. The garage door is the quietest its been the entire time we’ve lived here.

The torsion spring in our garage broke 2 days before an anticipated snow storm. I definitely did not want to leave my car outside for this one. I had called around for estimates and every business had quoted me three times the amount for parts alone.
My last call to Expert Garage Doors saved the day. Angela was very helpful, scheduled my appointment, and gave a great estimate. Knowing that I wanted the garage fixed before the storm, Russ, the serviceman had a cancellation and was even able to make it a day earlier and called to confirm. When he arrived, it only took about an hour to complete.
Great price – no competition.
Professional staff – courteous and accommodating.
No fuss – job done quickly and thoroughly.
I would recommend these guys to everyone. Thanks!

Expert Garage Doors are very reliable and have reasonable prices. I would absolutely do business with them again. When I initially called to inquire about their services and my garage door problem, I had to leave a voice mail message. Like most places, I figured I would get a return call within a few days, if ever. Angela called me back with 30 minutes. Russ arrived exactly when he said he would. Thanks Russ and Angela!

I found this company on Unilocal seeing as though I depend on Unilocal for most reviews since Angie’s list charges. The day our garage door broke I called early afternoon to schedule with them. The women that answered the phone was very helpful, polite, and to my surprise knew a lot of information about garages. It was my day off and I got really lucky and one of the guys came out to our house in between two other appointments. Turned out is was a fairly easy fix and he was able to do it that day within about an hour. He was very professional, polite, and explained everything to me. Pricing was reasonable in my opinion but I did use the deal that they have on the Unilocal site.
I will def recommend them to others!

Russ is amazing! I have a rather large property — with four garage doors in total across three structures (including the house). I needed a new opener unit for one of the smaller garage doors and Russ not only fixed that perfectly, he also did a lot of work on the other two garage doors down near our barn for no additional cost.
Now all of our garage doors are working perfectly and that’s one less thing to worry about. I highly recommend Expert Garage Doors.

I found Expert Garage Doors through Unilocal when my son and daughter-​in-​law asked me for help in finding a company to fix their garage door as their spring had sprung! The information that was on the site about their business was complete and I was impressed with the years of experience that Russ had with another well known company. I am a fan of locally owned companies and entrepreneurs who are out on their own!
My daughter-​in-​law called after the appointment and told me how professional and courteous Russ was while being at their home to fix the door. The door was fixed and Russ also gave a good inspection of the door, tightening bolts and also replaced a bracket. They say that the door is so much quieter when it runs and is so smooth! She raved about this company and said that she would refer anyone to Expert Garage Doors — that is a true testimonial from her!
