History

Established in 1958.

Bartel’s Auto Clinic has been a family-​owned and operated business in Illinois for more than 50 years. The company was founded in 1958 by Robert Bartel, who owned Standard Oil gas stations throughout Chicago’s western suburbs. The first Bartel «service station» was also established in 1958, quickly becoming well known for its professionalism, courteous staff and quality work and became the neighborhood’s auto repair and maintenance center. Bartel’s Auto now has locations in Carol Stream, Plainfield and Oswego.

As its president, Patrick’s passion for the auto repair industry is reflected in the daily operation of Bartel’s Auto Clinic locations in Carol Stream, Plainfield and Oswego.
