Best Western Plus Atrea Airport Inn & Suites

Very nice rooms, large and clean. Building and grounds are nice, clean and reasonably new.
Reasonably priced and convenient to I70.
What mars this hotel is:
1) Poor front desk customer service, they need training in how to interact with customers
2) Slow but adequate wifi, when it works. Unfortunately is drops out quite frequently. Making it almost unusable
3) Inadequate supply of luggage carts. For a hotel this size there needs to be more luggage carts.
4) Weak, inadequate air conditioning in the room (mine at least). Heat wave in April and I can’t cool the room down.
Overall, I cannot recommend this hotel.
If these issues were fixed it would be a very desirable place to stay.

I would give this hotel 0 stars, however, that is not an option. The hotel staff is incredibly rude, unprofessional and have no customer service skills. If you have an issue don’t expect it to be resolved. The hotel has heating, water, bug, transportation issues, and dirty rooms. DON’T STAY HERE!

I wish I could give 0 stars. There staff is rude and incompetent. We were told and confirmed we had a reservation and then they didn’t have a room for us. It is 1am and we had confirmed a late arrival was okay. The two women at the desk were terrible and very rude. Terrible customer service. STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE.

Stayed here on our way passing through Indiana on a summer road trip. Excellent hotel. Modern furniture and facilities. Very comfy bed. Clean room. Only thing is that there were some ants in our air conditioning unit. Service at front desk was fine and ok, but not outwardly welcoming. I’d still come here again if I was in the area.

I’m only giving three stars because the room was nice. The free wifi is basically unusable unless you like waiting at least three minutes for each page to load. They have a pool but it’s so tiny I didn’t bother with it.

This review is partly of the hotel itself and partly the terrible experience we had there.
On a recent road trip, we were pleased with a stay at one of Best Western’s new boutique hotels, so when it was clear we wouldn’t make our final destination last night, we stopped here for some sleep.
The troubles started when we checked in and they were still preparing our reservation from Priceline that was booked an hour and a half before. Normally I’d let it slide, but it was after 11pm, and after a day of driving, we were exhausted. Finally we were given a room, but it had a queen bed when we had paid for a king.
Once we were settled, it was near midnight. We tried to sleep, but our neighbor in the room next to us was playing their tv loud and yelling. We called down to the front desk to have them intervene. By 1 am, we were still awake, and the noise was worse, not better. We called down to the desk again, and at 1:30 am, we were in bed in our new room. Promised to be a king, we again were put in a queen.
At this point, we were begging for sleep. But for a final hurrah, the climate system in the room was atrocious. For nealy $ 90 a night, I should be able to run the unit’s fan with gusto all night. However, the unit only turned on when heating the room, which it seemed to do every 15 minutes. Sounding like a jet engine everytime it kicked on, it woke us up several times an hour, making any sleep a near impossibility.
I’d like to tell you that breakfast recharged us where the room could not. But my girlfriend summed it up best when she said, «It’s all… slimy.»
I could use the same line to describe the shower.
Overall, we got a Super 8 experience at a Mariott price.

Best Reviews in the Area!
I wasn’t planning on staying here. I was in the process of booking a hotel room at a nearby competitor when I decided to check out the reviews. This hotel had the best reviews in the area and was lower in price than some. I was sold and booked the room.
When I walked in on Sunday afternoon two women were at the front desk. One was working and fairly professional looking. The other was leaning on the counter. I gave the professional looking one my name and said, «Did you know that you have the best Unilocal reviews of any hotel in this town?» She seemed delighted at that news. I said, «Yes, and I love leaving good Unilocal reviews.»
At this point the woman who had been leaning on the counter spoke up and said, «The best? You could have fooled me with all the complaints I get.»
Great hotel. Perfect location. The bed was comfortable and the room was relaxing.
Three stars for first impressions from your less than enthusiastic staff. If all they ever hear is complaints maybe the problem isn’t the hotel.

We’ve stayed at 4 different Best Westerns while on our road trip and this was is far and away the best.
First of all it’s super pretty. The décor feels like it belongs in a hotel far nicer than a Best Western. The hair dryer in the bathroom isn’t even attached to the wall, that’s when you know you’ve gone fancy.
They have a bar in the lobby and when we were checking in we got coupons for free beers.
We got upgraded to a room with a whirlpool tub. I’ll take it!
Breakfast in the morning is basically the same breakfast we’ve seen at all Best Westerns but it was presented nicer.
If you’re travelling through Indianapolis and don’t want to spend a lot of money but want to stay somewhere nice check this out.

We could not believe our luck in finding the Best Western Atrea Hotel! From the outside, it looks like the usual Best Western. From the price, it could be. But, it’s not!
Our stay (much by accident since we were too tired to make our way from Indianapolis to Terre Haute), was incredible.
Our room was updated, new, and modern, with a 50″ flat screen LG TV, stainless steel microwave, refrigerator, Keurig Single cup coffee maker and Green Mountain coffee selections, beautiful sleek lamps (I’m not even into modern furniture, but it’s new and beautiful!). The bed was very comfortable and high up! There were built-​in silver reading lamps on either side of the bed, and recessed mood lighting above. They have Rusk shampoo and conditioner and lotion (very nice products), and the water pressure was good. The room was very clean and quiet, and, as mentioned, everything was new.
Service was very friendly. They have a nice, indoor pool! And, free Wi-​Fi! :)
My only qualm was that the towels weren’t super soft, and the tp wasn’t either. Other than that, this is like a 5-​star hotel for 2 star prices! Factoring in the price, other hotels pale in comparison.

OK. I’m going to be honest. I walked in expecting a decent hotel minutes from the airport. Nothing special, just a place to crash. This place has rooms that are on par with the W in San Diego. The most comfortable bed of just about any high end hotel. Fantastic rooms!!! Single cup Keurig coffee maker in the room. Sauna, hot tub, gym, and pool indoors. This place blew my mind. I really regret not grabbing the room earlier so that I could enjoy more of the amenities.
Also, if you pop for the full price, they will comp your cab to the airport. It’s pretty much a push.
I will definitely stay here again in the future.
