Established in 1988.

DJK Custom Homes was established in 1988 out of a dream to provide families something that they could cherish for a lifetime. Dan and Kim Kittilsen began DJK Custom Homes over 25 years ago and have continued to follow their dreams ever since. Since 1988 Dan Kittilsen and his wife Kim have continued to share the passion for bringing visions to reality.

DJK Homes has continued to bring smiles to the face of many families over the past few decades. Dan Kittilsen and his team of home building experts enjoy sharing their passion and expertise with their home owners and future clients. The passion for the industry that the team shares is what fuels the company.

Business Owner

Dan Kittilsen has been building luxury custom homes for over half of his lifetime. Since a child, Dan Kittilsen has had a passion for construction. Dan Kittilsen began his career as a Mason for a local Masonry contractor and quickly worked his way up the ranks to became a foreman for multiple masonry projects. In 1988 Dan Kittilsen made the decision that he wanted to start something of his own. Dan Kittilsen began his ventures in to the home building industry with the establishment of his company, DJK Custom Homes. DJK Custom Homes has been running strong ever since.

Dan Kittilsen is a part of the local Northern Illinois Home Builders Association as well as the DOW Builders Council. Dan Kittilsen has earned his Certified Graduate Builder certification and Certified Green Professional from the National Association of Homebuilders. Dan Kittilsen continues to further educate himself in the industry and has completed many LEED and Energy Star certified homes in the Naperville area.
