History
Established in 2011.
Iceberg Computers Inc. was originally started by Phillip Bergner in 2000 as Compuworks. Compuworks provided computer repair services and IT consulting to small businesses and consumers. Mr. Bergner took a full-time job from a client of Compuworks due to their ongoing need for IT services. Mr. Bergner went into the law enforcement field in 2007. Briana Bergner joined the company in 2009 as management. Under her leadership, the business has seen nearly 100 new clients in 2011 all through word-of-mouth advertising. In 2011, the business was incorporated as Iceberg Computers, Inc. While we are still a small mom-and-pop company, we strive to keep our customers satisfied. We believe many of the large technology chains severely overprice computer repairs in order to maximize profit. We know we can do better and we will grow long-term relationships with our customers.
Meet the Business Owner
Phillip B.
Business Owner
I started learning computers as soon as I knew how to read. My father brought home a Compaq 386 computer system one day and I just couldn’t get enough of it. I learned how to use computers from the command line — before Microsoft Windows was a popular operating system. I also picked up some programming experience while still in my single digits. I’ve always been one of those guys that has to tinker with everything, and I would pull things apart to learn how they work. In high school, I started my own computer repair business. I didn’t want to be a fry cook or a shelf stocker, so I said to myself, «If these other companies can make money fixing computers, so can I.»
I did well enough to make quite a profit. I took a full-time job from one of my clients and stayed there until 2007. I became involved in law enforcement and joined a local police department.
My wife, Briana, now helps me run the business. We incorporated our business recently because we really believe it is going to grow.
