I just purchased 4 sandwiches for my family and the gentleman behind the counter didn’t put them in a bag for carry out. I told him they were to go and he refused to put the sandwiches in a bag. Then he slapped a bag on the counter and told me I can put it in a bag. I said isn’t that what I just paid YOU for? Then he walked away laughing. I put my sandwiches in the bag and said«he is freaky rude» and started on my out when another person, who appeared that he may be a delivery driver, also found it amusing and patronizingly said very rudely«have a nice day». I feel like they think it’s a joke.

The manager wouldn’t accept my $ 20 bill after checking it with an iodine pen and it left a faint yellow mark. She said her owner wouldn’t allow her to accept any bills with any mark at all. An iodine pen reacts with wood fiber based paper to leave a BLACK mark on counterfeit bills. If the owner of Jimmy Johns in Plainfield doesn’t want my money I’m happy to take it down the street to Jersey Mikes and will do so from now on.

Beach club unwiched is my number 1, go EZzz on the mayo though if you are looking for flavor. Don’t forget the chips and choc-chip cookie

After reading some of these other reviews how are the people going to hate jimmy johns? Every single time go to or even order jimmy johns I get great service! It’s always fast, quick and painless. I order something new every time I order. The workers make the sandwich 30 seconds after you pay! I am there for an average of 7 seven minutes and I’m out. Jimmy johns tops subway, pen station, buona, and fire station subs. They are faster, cheaper, and have no hassle when getting your food! Thanks JJ’s for giving me the godly experience you have always given me!

Not impressed by this location. Been here twice now and the staff is more concerned with getting free soda and talking. First time I spilled a whole glass of water. Not a word from the staff and they were 5 feet away. Went up there asked for some napkins, she said she would bring then over, waited, no one came. Got them myself. Girl shouted we could have helped you, really when? Today, just rude and disinterested. Really no salt & pepper behind the counter!!! Geez people get some social skills and smile a little. Management you may want to get some adults in the place so they can train the teenagers to have better customer service skills ! Sandwich are ok but try jersey mikes down the street for a better sandwich and nicer staff. Done with this place!!!

I love JJ sandwiches. Every time I visit, I grab a #12 Beach club sandwich. I was extremely disappointed when I came to this location and found out they didn’t have sprouts anymore. When I think of JJ, I think of how fresh and healthy the sandwiches are and that’s partially due to the sprouts. I noticed at other locations they at least gave the option to add them. I only gave this location one star because of the lack of sprouts. The workers were friendly and fast. I hope they bring the sprouts back mainly for the locals but also for when I come back to visit.

I come here about once a week for lunch. The service is always immediate, fast and I’m out the door with my order in about 5 minutes. Not sure what is wrong with the other two reviewers… but haven’t they ever been to a Jimmy Johns? This is a well run location, the food is fresh and consistent. There are many sub sandwich places out there. Jersey Mike’s and Subway are at the high end(price) and Jersey Mikes is a little less expensive with fewer options. Their sandwiches are a bit smaller, but their fresh bread is the best. So, as far as Jimmy Johns goes, this is a well run location. Why not Five Stars? I can’t give Five Stars to any sandwich shop… not Fontano’s, Subway, Quiznos, Jersey Mikes, Firemans, Whichwich… they all make sandwiches. Find one you like and you’ll be happy; of you like Jimmy Johns they you will be happy here.

«Freaky Fast?» I don’t think so. It’s more like«painfully slow.» First, I walked in hoping to get a sandwich and get out in less than 5 minutes. Even though it was lunch time, I only had to wait behind one person. I don’t know how long it took, but it was much too long for a sandwich considering there wasn’t a line. Don’t come here if you are rushing. There were 7, at least that I could see, employees working behind the counter. Each of them seemed to have a job to do, except the younger guy in glasses. He was eating food while pacing back and forth behind the counter and peering over his co-workers shoulders. I was a little grossed out by his cheeks puffed out like chipmunks, hoarding bits of bread like it’s his last day on earth. I ordered a sandwich, pickle and chips. I can’t believe they charge an extra $ 1.15 for a pickle. They forgot my pickle. Of course, I didn’t notice until I got home, so there isn’t anything I can do. If you want a sandwich, go next door to Panera. You can get a sandwich with a pickle and chips included, and you’ll pay less money. Or there’s a Jersey Mike’s off of Route 59 and 135th. There are better options in the area. Yes, my sandwich(beach club) was good. But it wasn’t good enough to pay an extra dollar for a pickle I didn’t get. I won’t be back.
