Horrible service! Waited an hour for our food, while watching others who ordered after us be served. Never again! #wish0starswasanoption

Fantastic service! I was checked on by nearly every server working. Not just mine. Portions are huge. Unless you can really put down the food, take a friend. I should have asked for a TWO egg omelet. It wouldn’t have been cheaper, but I wouldn’t feel guilty about throwing away so much food. Its good food, great service and great prices. The way a breakfast should be.

So many good reviews of this place left me thinking it would be an ok place to eat. Boy was I wrong. When people say friendly staff, I guess you’d have to consider a «hello», «are you ready to order» and«enjoy»… Friendly. I was never asked how my sandwich was. Which was sadly absolutely horrible. This is my first time visiting this place and I can not say I would come back. If the waitress had asked me how it was I would have told her I was exceptionally dissatisfied. I took one bite and asked for a box to feed it to my dogs. I would have thought she would have thought it was weird that I ordered a sandwich and took one bite and boxed it up. I ended up eating the remainder of my daughters kids meal. Maybe their breakfast menu is better but I can’t say I recommend the lunch menu.

A few weeks ago a craving for blueberry pancakes(& the compounding problem of not having eggs, milk, OR blueberries in our house), sent us on a voyage for brunch. Our usual haunts all had long lines, so we thought we’d give«The New Guy» in town a shot. I’m so glad we did. Thankfully, they did have blueberry pancakes on the menu. I ordered mine with the toppings on the side(I don’t like soggy pancakes, and sometimes the blueberry syrup is too sweet/too much). My husband ordered one of their egg & meat combos. It was a bit confusing, because the menu doesn’t explicitly list which meats qualify for that option. He was excited that he saw chorizo as an omelet meat option(the only place where meats are listed), only to find out that’s not a side meat option… he has a dream where more places in Indiana will offer chorizo as a breakfast meat. A major bonus of this place is that they offer both turkey sausage & turkey bacon as a side option, which a major competing breakfast place in town doesn’t offer. Our food took awhile to arrive. When it did finally show up, the pancakes were hot/fresh & with a little bowl of blueberry topping on the side. I was SOHAPPY to find out their blueberry topping is basically stewed blueberries, and not an overly-sweet syrupy grossness. I would still get it on the side in the future to avoid sogginess, but it is not something to miss. My husband’s meal arrived as ordered, with the exception that he had asked for his hash browns extra crispy, and they arrived barely grilled. While we both ordered off the breakfast menu for this trip, we’re excited to return at some point to try their lunch options. On my way to the ladies room, I spied a club sandwich on someone’s table that looked AMAZING(bright green lettuce, thick layers of meat, etc) –1 Star for Service issues: Our waitress, while nice, was extremely scattered & slow. They only brought 1 little thing of butter with my pancakes, & I asked for additional butter. It was over 15 minutes before she brought it back to the table. She would disappear into the kitchen for long periods of time, and she seemingly only had 3 tables(you have pretty good visual of the whole restaurant with the way it is designed). Coffee & water refills were also infrequent.

If you’re looking for a simple breakfast or brunch this is a pretty decent place. The food is pretty good, nice price and friendly staff for the most part. Only thing I didn’t like is that I couldn’t get a good olé New York strip steak they only had ribeye and eggs. But overall a nice place for a simple breakfast.

There just aren’t that many places in Plainfield outside of the normal chain restaurants to get breakfast. My husband and I have driven by here many times and at the last minute on a Sunday morning we decided to try it. This appears to be an old Denny’s location and is conveniently located near many hotels by the interstate. First glance inside was that it is very clean and bright. They have a small bar with a large TV mounted on the wall to catch up on your news with your breakfast. Our waitress greeted us right away and was very attentive the entire time we were there. They were not super busy, however she was also tending to a very large party for Easter breakfast and still kept our coffee warm and the food quick. The menu isn’t much different than any other typical breakfast joint and the prices are very reasonable. The coffee is good, but let me tell you about the pancakes… oh the pancakes. I got them as a side with my meal and they. were. awesome! Big and fluffy… and even great warmed up the next morning when you can’t eat all of them in one breakfast!

Great food for the price. Welcoming environment. Was greeted by the owner/manager on my way in. Sat for approx 2 hours eating and drinking coffee with some paperwork to work on. The waitress was super nice and helpful, keeping my coffee full the entire time and was not annoyed that I was staying to finish some work. I had a great meal and plenty of fresh hot coffee. Highly recommend!

I stay in Plainfield, IN two to three times a month. Stacks was formerly a Dennys. It just opened 3 months ago. Privately owned, family operated. The inside is clean and the wait staff was very friendly. Stacks does breakfast 24 – 7. I ordered the House Omlet because it was most like a Western Omlet… which is not on the menu. It was delivered to the table within 10 minutes with a side of home fries and a cup of hot coffee. Portion size… Huge. I could have taken half the Omlete home for tomorrow’s breakfast! Flavor of the omlette? Great! Detractors? Coffee. It’s a Food Service blend coffee and coffee creamer used is individual ultra-heat treated«Mini-Moos.» That’s low cost/cheap method for a hot beverages that many breakfast go-ers may not enjoy. Stacks should have real creamer available for breakfast/diner crowd. Overall, good«mom and pop» breakfast restaurant. I’ll be back.

Came here around 11 on a Friday and the place was empty. Kind of surprised because the food and service were great. Recommended if you’re in the area and want a good breakfast.

Honestly I’m not sure why there are other people complaining it’s a new restaurant but honestly it was great when I went. It was about 1230 on a Thursday and not packed but not slow. Waiting staff were very friendly, they were helpful, maybe needed some more training but got the job done. The menu is big and has variety, everything we ordered was delicious and there were 8 of us, it also come out right and in a timely manner I think you should definitely try this place out, go for the Palestine crepes or the blueberry pancakes oh and the omelets are enormous and delicious. :) A+ 5

There have been several restaurants at this location. Most recently it was a Denny’s. Stacks opened in mid October 2015, primarily offering breakfast and lunch. While the food was good and plentiful, the breakfast listed as 2+2+2 eggs, pancakes and sausage or bacon strips is only served with one sausage patty. That was not a good start. When I pointed out this discrepancy to the waitress, the cook informed her that the serving only consisted of one patty in spite of what the menu says. Not good customer service and I will not go back. I do NOT recommend this restaurant.
