My daughter and I walked in on Saturday not realizing it was closing. Thank goodness we met Heidi, she allowed my daughter to try on a dress, was very gracious. My daughter fell in love with the dress she tried on and Heidi worked on her day off to secure it from the Vendor. We bought it and my daughter is thrilled. Wonderful experience!

A beautiful boutique. The shop is so pretty, clean and an extensive line of gowns. Wedding, prom, formal… they have a large selection of current product. Beautiful gowns and they are very kind, helpful and knowledgeable. They call right away to find out if your gown will arrive in time and were helpful with finding a gown on short notice. They take the stress out of looking for a gown.

White Satin Bridal was a great place to start my wedding dress shopping journey. Ashley was my consultant and she was very friendly and inviting. The store is small, but that helps keep it warm and friendly. Their wedding dress selection was limited so I don’t think I’ll end buying my dress from there, but would absolutely recommend this boutique to anyone looking for any type of dress!

I had a great experience at White Satin Bridal. It was the first store I tried dresses on at and ended up purchasing one of those dresses after going to countless other stores to try other dresses on. I found a lower price on the dress and White Satin was more than willing to price match. We had so much fun at the store and even ended up gifting a bottle of champagne to the woman assisting us.
My dress came in super early and they had no issues holding onto it until alterations, which I did with one of their seamstresses. My dress fit perfectly after alterations. The first reason I am going with 4 stars is that my bustle would not stay in place. Eventually, I just picked my dress on so I could stay on the dance floor. Second reason, I was told I could order my bridesmaids dresses through the store, even with customizations, when I placed my order for my wedding dress. That was perfect because it would save my bridesmaids 15%. When it came down to it, White Satin could not actually place the order due to the customizations to the dresses (fabric change), so we placed the order through the manufacturer.
Otherwise, I would definitely recommend White Satin to other brides!

I was a big fan of this shop in the beginning when I ordered my bridesmaids and bridal gown from them, but it was after all the orders and money was paid that a bad taste was left in my mouth. First, they ordered my bridesmaids dresses in the wrong color. Luckily I was able to change the order 2 days after placing it. Then comes my wedding dress… it is a beautiful gown and I did alterations with their inhouse seamstress. Big mistake. I really liked her personally, but after $ 200 to hem it, shorten straps and take it in a bit, I was left with a dress that was too big in the bust. So big that I could stick my whole hand in there. It looked awful and the seamstress and shop ladies all said there was nothing I could do. Luckily, with 9 days till my wedding day I took it to another seamstress and she fixed very easily what all the ladies at White Satin deemed not possible. She also stated that she had another dress from White Satin bridal which she was fixing after another client came in complaining about the alterations from White Satin and she was shocked about the mistakes made on both gowns. After putting out that fire, my veil finally comes in 2 weeks before my wedding and is hideous. The color wasn’t close to being ivory and it had the cheapest crystals attached to it. I can’t believe they’d even present it to me. They had to order an entirely different and new veil and I sent my fiancé to pick it up on the Thursday before our wedding… he came home with the veil in a plastic bag. They hadn’t steamed it and then claimed they didn’t because they weren’t sure when I was coming. Um… well if my wedding is on Saturday wouldn’t you think I’d be popping in asap? I found that not even the owners really cared about any of my issues. After a total of $ 400 in alterations I considered it my duty to warn the rest of you to reconsider shopping here, and definitely do outside alterations. I support small businesses best I can, but this one doesn’t seem to be very worried about supporting their customers.

Love it. After going to davids bridal and being shown things I said I wasn’t interested in, one of my bridesmaids said we should try to look here. She, along with a few other girls we know, found there wedding dress here. Walked in for our appt and was greeted by Sarah who is an absolute doll and was great to work with. I explained what I wanted and tried on a few dress and with on one hour found the one I wanted. Sarah was very honest in what looked good and what didn’t, but this definitely is a great place to check out, A little higher in price then davids bridal but the quality of the dress is great… I happened to be there when they were having a nice sale and was able to buy the sample which was in great condition for half the price. Check this place out, you will not be disappointed.

Getting married in June 14 and went to a lot of places to look for my dress. Went in Satin Bridal and fell in love with a dress and with the store. Adorable store and great customer serive, they really make you feel like your opinion is very important and do everything to make you happy. Super excited.

Got my bridesmaids dress from here. They measured me and told me what size I would need but they didn’t have one for me to try so I just ordered what they recommended. Should have gone with my gut instinct and ordered a smaller size. My dress is HUGE on me and needs a lot of alterations.

I went to about 5 other bridal stores and tried on over 20 dresses before coming to WSB and finding «the one»! They have a decent selection and the prices are very very reasonable. My bridesmaids dresses are from here too. All the ladies who work here are very friendly and helpful. I usually made all my appointments in the middle of the week and when they first opened so I never had a problem battling for the mirror or getting some one on one attention. I can’t remember who did my alterations but she did a pretty good job. My only complaint was that my bustle didn’t look exactly like the picture I showed her and one of the bustles broke during the reception. I don’t remember how that happened so who knows, maybe someone stepped on it and pulled it right out.

I decided to try this place after being frustrated about the prices and selection of some of the bigger stores. It was a fluke, I just google mapped the closest bridal store and this was it — and thank God it was!
It is a small store but the selection is very good. I tried on probably 5 or 6 dresses and found the ONE! The owners of the store were extremely friendly and were honest about how each dress looked on me. I couldn’t purchase that day because I wanted my Mom and Dad to see me in it and they were not pushy about that at all!
I came back a few days later and my parents loved it! I decided to add a sash and some bling to my dress and the owners showed me how we could do that — they were very knowledgeable about the process. It came in on time a few months later, I went with one of their recommended seamstresses and she did a perfect job as well!

Terrible. All around. my wife and daughter went there to look for homecoming dresses. The women brought out a «great» find in the back, a very expensive leftover, but will only sell for $ 99. Great. Get home, it has stains on it. No wonder. The they said while tailoring it, that they could either get it out or cut it out. Fine try. Get dress back, cut way, way, way, too short, and on top of it, it was UNEVEN. We complained, and they actually said, «Well, we lost money on that dress because we sold it so cheap. DUH. It was stained, cut too short, and uneven. Oh, ya, and that was dealing with the «owners»

Skip it.
Very small store. Each person in the store has to battle for the one stage and one mirror to show off your dress to your guests. I was battling with 2 other brides and a mother of the groom that was in for a fitting. Not cool.
Limited selection. And I think I tried on every dress in the store. The consultants kept bringing me dresses and telling me they wanted to see me in each one. I felt forced to put on dresses that weren’t even remotely close to the style I wanted. I left very frustrated, upset, and confused. And there wasn’t a single dress I liked so I won’t be going back.

Although White Satin doesn’t have the largest selection of wedding or bridesmaids dresses, I did like the atmosphere here. The consultant asked me what kind of dress I wanted and helped me locate dresses. They also were super nice and stayed with me throughout my entire time there. I found the selection to be reasonably priced (all three dresses I tried on were under $ 1,000) and I even ended up purchasing my dress here! I only give them three stars because the store is very small and the selection is meager. I had a specific style I liked and only found two dresses that fit under that style (luckily, one of those two dresses was perfect).

I went to White Satin in search of my wedding dress. I haven’t bought one yet, so this review is strictly based on the «trying on» experience. And a great experience it was! I went with my mom on a Friday afternoon. We were the only ones in the store and Robin, one of the owners, helped me. She was SO friendly and made me feel very comfortable. She was honest without being rude or blunt about the way certain dresses looked. She was never pushy and I never felt pressured to buy a dress that day. In fact, Robin encouraged me to go home and think about it. Her advice was that the dress that you keep thinking about is likely the dress for you.
Not a huge selection, but there were plenty of dresses to try on. I liked that I was able to go through the racks and pick out what I liked, while Robin pulled some dresses as well.

My dress looked great on my wedding day. Grace did my bustle and it never broke and was very easy for my girls to do. I also bought my headpiece, veil, and jewelry here. Great prices, great discounts, and amazing service.

Nice storefront and selection, but staff wasn’t helpful. They seemed more concerned with prom dresses for teenagers than helping me find my gown. The person that was helping me must have been new, but she didn’t do anything at all. No assisting in trying them on, check to see how they fit, or follow up. When I was done looking, my friend and I were waiting to see if she would say anything, but she didn’t. We thanked her and left.

I live in downtown Chicago, but tried out White Satin Bridal since it was close to my office in the suburbs. I just love this store! Robin and Sarah are the owners, and they are just so great to work with. I had my first appointment with Robin and went on my own. We tried on a ton of dresses, then I found one that I sort of liked. My mom lives out of town, so she let me take a picture in the gown to send to her. Unheard of! My mom and sister came out a couple of weeks later, and we set up a two hour appointment there. We decided that maybe my original choice wasn’t THE dress, but after a bad experience somewhere else, I just really wanted to see if I could find a dress there, because I would feel good about spending my money there.
We had a two hour appointment with Sarah, who was just as nice and friendly as Robin. And they have a great selection of dresses. I think that everything I saw was under $ 2000. And I ended up finding a great dress there for under $ 1000. I’m so excited to be able to wear it on my wedding day! Sarah also paid attention to the bridesmaids dresses we were liking and not liking. Finally, she brought out a dress that was just perfect. So, we took care of my gown as well as the bridesmaids dresses there.
I will wait to see what happens with my dress coming in, alterations, etc. before upgrading to 5 stars. But overall, this was definitely my favorite place to shop. If you’re looking for a moderately priced dress, and want great service, this is definitely worth the drive from Chicago.
