I’ve been Dr. Neiheiser’s patient for over 25 years and he has always been the consumate professional, while remaining friendly and courteous. More importantly, after a serious «surgical malfunction» by an ophthalmologist, it was Dr. Neiheiser who figured out how to allow me to see better, when no one else seemed to be able to do that, and continues to monitor and correct the problem I will be forever in his debt for my eyesight! His staff is exactly the same way: knowledgeable, professional, friendly and courteous. And the selection of eye wear that can be found is quite extensive with something for everyone. I highly recommend Dr. Neiheiser and Allied Vision Professionals.

I recently came here to get an eye exam and new glasses/​contact prescriptions. Dr. Russo was very nice and thorough, and ordered me a trial pair of the contacts he prescribed when they didn’t have my prescription in stock. I also ordered a new set of frames here, and the process was great– very little hovering while I browsed their selection, and then very clear explanations of the cost of the various options for frames/​lenses. I have not received the glasses yet, but so far a very pleasant experience!

The doctor and staff are skilled as well as pleasant and patients are seen on schedule. All medical practices should take a page from this establishment.

Everyone in the office was extremely friendly and helpful. I didn’t wait long at all to be seen by the doctor. Insurance benefits were clearly explained, and I got the glasses I wanted. The whole visit went as well as it possibly could have, and I would definitely recommend Allied Vision Services to anyone looking for an optometrist.

I chose this place because of the 5 star reviews, even though it was only 12 reviews, but it seemed better than the others at the least, but here is my actual experience:
Part I: I had Dr. Russo, he was okay, he recommended me trying the daily disposable lenses, they were fine, except these are 3 times more expensive than the 2 weeks disposable ones. I asked to try those, he seemed irritated that I was leaning towards the cheaper ones and didn’t give me a pair to try (this is supposed to be part of the fitting procedure for contact lenses), instead he just wrote the prescription without me trying it.
Part II: after the prescription, I wasn’t sure if I should buy the contact lenses from them directly or elsewhere in terms of pricing. So I asked the front desk at check out, she insisted that the price they sell is the same as everywhere else. I pulled up my phone and searched online, found cheaper deals immediately and showed them to her, her response was «they are not supposed to offer lower price, the price should be the same everywhere, and our price is the correct one». The prices I found online were from Walmart, Amazon, Coastal Lenses, etc. yet this lady is claiming these are illegal because their prices are lower than theirs. I ended up ordering from Walmart which was easy and quick.
Part III:
I also needed a new pair of glasses, or lenses, I was fine with my frame at the time. The optical lady told me that I needed a new frame or else they won’t be responsible if the new lenses break or affects the frame (not sure how but okay they sold me getting a new frame as well)
I ended up paying over $ 700 for this pair of new glasses, a lot more expensive that what I wanted to spend. But okay, no buyer’s remorse. I went to go pick it up the first time, the optical lady wasn’t in so the cashier «adjusted» the frame for me, of course she didn’t really know what she was doing. So I went back there 2^nd time to have Barbara adjust the frame, she gladly did. A few days later, the frame wasn’t feeling even so I decided to go back 3^rd time, I was feeling annoyed myself because of the repeated trips I had to make. 3^rd time Barbara became impatient, told me that her final adjustment was the best she has done and that I should just get used to it, whatever that unevenness I was feeling.
Weeks later, there is still that unevenness I feel. I spent over $ 700 on a pair of glasses yet they can’t even get it right. Now I have to go find somewhere else that’s more competent to make the right adjustment.

Everyone here is always friendly and helpful. Their hours are really great for commuters who don’t want to take off time from work to make an appointment. Dr. Russo is great. He’s always thorough in his explanations and listens carefully to concerns or issues. Highly recommended.

I have been a patient of Dr Neiheiser for 20 years or more and have always been warmly welcomed and have received the most professional, quality care. I highly recommend Allied Vision, and Dr Neiheiser in particular.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Neiheiser for 15 years, possibly more, and every visit is like going to see a friend. He is unfailingly cheerful amd professional and always has the time to discuss not only what my needs are but also what’s going in my life and his. It feels like I’ve watched his children grow up through the photos on the walls and our discussions. You simply cannot do any better than Allied Vision in central NJ!

This is the best optical store ever! From the staff to the doctor… everyone is actually there to satisfy your eye care needs. The first time I thought the staff were sales people who we’re doing their job and being super friendly. But for them to do it consistently over and over again is what you call customer service! The whole process from ordering frames, to picking the right lenses based upon my insurance, to adjusting the frames once they arrived, was very smooth.
I would definitely recommend them. Just wish I would have found them sooner.

This place is an excellent place to go to check up on your eye health, get new glasses or get fitted for contacts. Dr. Neiheiser is very professional and quickly puts you at ease. I was recommended here by my Fiancée who has been going to Dr. Neiheiser for years… I’m glad I did.

Dr. Russo is a great professional! He took his time with me to ensure he would be right in his prescription. Then after he prescribed me glasses, the whole staff was there to help me choose them. I’d definitely recommend visiting them. What a great experience!

Dr. Neiheiser is a fantastic eye doctor! He took his time to listen to my concerns and was very thorough with the exam. I felt very comfortable around him and usually I am very nervous getting my eyes checked. The rest of the staff were nice as well. Contacts are expensive, but they made sure to provide me with coupons and are going to ship them to me, so I don’t have to go back to get them.

Thorough and professional method of working. Dr. Russo was clinical (no pun intended) in his procedure and explanations.
Would have no hesitancy in recommending them!
