History

Established in 1929.

Dr. J. Abrahamson was granted a Masters degree in Chiropody from The First Institute of Chiropody in 1929. He started Aadvanced Foot Care Associates practice in 1929 and he passed the baton to Dr. Ivan Abrahamson, who passed it to Dr. Hal Abrahamson. Together with Dr. Orozco and Dr. Rosero we have 3 generations and well over 100 years of foot care know how.

Business Owner

Dr. Hal Abrahamson is a graduate of the University of Buffalo. He attended the New York College of Podiatric Medicine and graduated in 1989. He completed his residency training at Coney Island Hospital and Hospital for Joint Diseases North. Board Certified in Podiatric Orthopedics and Medicine, as well as wound care he is currently the Chief of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery at North Shore — Long Island Jewish Health System’s Forest Hills Hospital. In 1999 he founded the Podiatric Surgery Residency Program at Forest Hills and was co-​director of the residency program from 2000 – 2007. He specializes in sports medicine and biomechanics of the lower extremity and was team podiatrist for the St. John’s University Red Storm Men’s and Woman’s Soccer teams from 2000 – 2006. When not in the office you can find Dr. Hal coaching youth soccer, playing guitar with his kids or in his garage restoring old muscle cars.
