Massage Envy – Plainview

After shoveling for 2 days from a recent snow storm
I was in a lot of pain so I had a deep tissue massage.
The location was nice I sat and filled out a form that had questions about what I like and didn’t like and any health issues. The massage was great and the room was cozy and warm. Kathleen did my massage and she did an excellent job she was able to take some of the tension out of my back.

Worst run business I have ever dealt with! The managers and owners never get back to you! I paid for the 6 month membership and was continued to get charge for 4 additional months when the employee that sold it to me told me it would just be 6 and would note not to do the automatic renewal! I know have 8 massages saved up that now they told me I only have a month to use! Who uses 8 massages in one month?! Once you pay for a massage it should be yours until you use it! It’s paid for by myself and I lose them? The managers are never available to speak with in person or on the phone because I have tried several times! It’s a shame because the massage I did receive was done very well but I will not return being the manager or owner have no desire to fix their employees mistake!

Horrible. I give this place one star because they give great massages but the manager does not care. My friend and I have attempted to contact the manager multiple times. We left multiple messages and even stopped in and she was never there. How does a company run without a manager? We tried to cancel our massage package a month before they even cancelled it and got charged for another month after that! When we got our packages we were told that our packages would only be for six months and not there stupid automatic renewal. Well she obviously lied to us because we found out they charged us for an extra four months. I did not receive a single call about my massages until AFTER I cancelled my membership. I don’t even care about the 8 massages that I will never use. Apparently after you cancel you only have a month to use all of your massages. The owner said she would give us two months but that doesn’t help at all. all I requested was the money for the month after I asked to cancel my package and they could not even do that. I attempted to contact and email the store but since that didn’t seem to work I decided to share my experience so they don’t lie to anyone else.

I was very pleased with my recent visit to Massage Envy in Plainview. My therapist Dave, very professional with incredibly soothing and healing touch. I’ve mentioned few issues with my neck, and he knew exactly how to apply his skillful yet very unique style, leaving me totally relaxed. Thank you

I have been a customer for about a year. I can not rave enough about this location, the girls upfront are courteous and very helpful. Liz is my favorite! She has the best hands in the business, always listens when you have specific problem areas. Can’t wait for my next monthly!

Love this place!
Had an hour and a half massage with Dave today. Went in with a headache and some neck and shoulder pain, came out feeling like a teenager again with no pain at all. He made sure that the pressure he was using was not too much for me. He had a soothing voice but only talked just enough for me to be comfortable with him. I would highly recommend him.
The massage room was clean and cozy.
The receptionists were very friendly and professional. I was offered a drink while waiting for the therapist. Whe I was paying they offered to book me another appointment and helped me figure out the correct tip. (I received a discount off the actual massage as I haven’t been there in a while so I wasn’t sure what the full price was).
All in all a great experience which I would love to treat myself to again.

Gave this place another shot. This time my experience was exactly as expected! Massage was great, the tension in my neck and back was well focused on ! The massage therapists I had made it all worthwhile that I actually signed up to be a monthly member! Looking forward to returning next month !

I go to massage envy in plainview for a multitude of reasons. I, like every other NYer I know, am stressed out. I also have a joint condition where my muscles and ligaments aren’t as long as they should be. Because of that, I get really bad leg cramps… some where I can’t walk without major pain.
Massages are my hero. Gina is fantastic and keeps me walking. She knows exactly how to get rid of the knots and the stress. I’ve definitely spent an hour just on the backs of my legs and Gina has gotten me back on my feet, literally.
Before coming here, I’ve had a few really bad massages. Like dislocated shoulder blade bad. Gina knows her stuff and can even tell you why something is hurting and what’s connected to what. I find that to be fantastic… the more educated my therapist is, the better the result.
When I just need to de-​stress, get those knots out or just stretch muscles I am the worst at stretching on my own, I go here. So treat yourself, get a massage and see Gina while you’re at it!

I’ve been visiting this location nearly every week for over two years and have yet to be disappointed. Heidi is extremely knowledgeable and thorough in discussing what issues to address in each massage. She creates a calming, peaceful environment that would put any client at ease. In addition, I find the front desk staff friendly and efficient.

I got a gift certificate, the therapist, Alison, was very nice and good, the front desk was nice and professional. All in all good experience. The only reason for 4 stars and not 5 is that one hour massage lasted only 50 minutes. When I go to other places one hour is… well one hour= 60 minutes.

I gave this place a try after receiving a gift card for a massage. I’ve been to a lot of spas locally and when I travel for massages. I was very pleasantly surprised. I noticeably felt better well into the next day with less tension in my neck and shoulder area. I had Liz, that was who was available at the time I wanted, but she was great. She was very concerned with the pressure being just right and hitting the spots I needed. Not too much conversation — just right. This is one of the first times I really felt like it was more than just a luxury, but truly a therapeutic experience as well. I ended up converting my gift card into a membership and plan to go back regularly. I saw all the comments about the front desk here, I was there on a Saturday morning and didn’t have that experience. They were friendly, checked me in quickly and I don’t recall them talking to each other at all. I have a fully positive experience from start to finish. Even the membership sell at the end wasn’t a hard sell. They were giving me the options and accommodated my request to make it a 3 mos membership rather than a year. I would have been just as comfortable saying no and leaving it at that.

I suffer from sinuses and when I get stressed, my back tightens up and upper back to where I get headaches. Needless to say I get massages often, but haven’t found a place to go to more often till now. Melissa K. at this location is a LIFESAVER. Not only do I no longer experience such terrible stress and tension in my back, but I also don’t get sever sinus attacks anymore. I’ve been going to her for a year now and I won’t go anywhere else.
The place is convenient, the staff is friendly and the place is clean. Melissa is super sweet and calm creating such a pleasant experience. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

I have been to this location and the Garden City location. GC is much better. The front desk staff was definitely loud and talking about their plans, I agree with the other reviews. But what’s worse is I came out of my massage with a definite allergic reaction. My eyes were noticeably swollen all around my eyes and my lips were swollen and tingling. They did nothing. I have had many massages and never had a reaction like this. My reaction has lasted all weekend. I won’t be going back there.

I was given a gift certificate for a massage and cashed in for a 1 hour full body sports massage. Christine was great, introduced herself and inquired about my reasons for coming in. The rooms were clean and there was relaxing music playing, but you could honestly hear conversations outside and nearby doors opening and closing. The massage was great and I would be happy to return, except that I can’t budget the monthly membership fee. If I could pay per service, I’d definitely be back.

i normally visit the Plainview location and the therapist i use his name is Zorran, and he is the best. believe me i have tried a few… the only thing getting an appt, is sometimes a little tough. so give yourself time. the location is very clean and customer service is always pretty good. Prices are very reasonable when you become a member.

I purchased a massage for my wife for two including tip the week before Christmas ang left with a nice bag with gift card to put under the Christmas tree. I did not realize that 2 days later, the manager Sheena called my house informing my wife not to use the gift card just yet because there was a problem with their credit card machine thus ruining my surprise on Christmas morning. Sheena did not seem to care but after I blew my top, she gave credit for one massage but one of the co-​owners, Sheldon, called to say that the credit was excessive. Surely I blew up again and just told them to credit my card. I would not want to be treated at a place that was run with such imcompentantcy. Also the girls at the counter was yapping their plans for the weekend. Go somewhere else.

I went there last night & the people at the desk were talking so loudly about what they are doing this weekend & for one of their birthdays & how much they can’t wait to get drunk & effed up! When you are in excruciating & agonizing pain & are paying for a service that will help you by calming you & soothing you… Waiting on an uncomfortable couch listening to young, whining, loud-​mouthed people & how they get effed does nothing but get you more stressed out because of their unproffessionalism & rudeness. I will never go to this location ever! Those receptionists are seriously vile!

I am having a great experience at this place. The masseuse I see is excellent. The receptionist that I see when I go is terrific too. And the manager Josh is a doll!

The therapist was great, but the reception staff was loud and rude. I heard loud conversations, slamming doors, banging and stomping.
I have been trying for 2 days to speak with a manager.

I haven’t had a massage in years and finally decided to treat myself. Firstly, the massage felt skimped out. You get maybe 45 to 50 minutes of therapist time and my massage therapist was so chatty I didn’t even have a chance to relax! By the time I turned over, moved bolsters and blankets for repositioning you’re probably getting about half an hour of treatment. Mediocre-​eh massage at best, my spouse can do better. They do try to get you to purchase yearly memberships. The place is not what a relaxing spa should feel like. I was disappointed and left stressed as ever!
