The young guy who was running the place was very rude to me as a customer and to the women behind the counter.
Prices have also gotten outrageous! The loaf cakes are so small and look sad.

So so so disappointing. They didn’t put part of the design on top which were only two simple initials. The decorating was really chintzy and not the least bit of thought went into it. The buttercream frosting tasted like whipped crisco – tasteless. At least the cake part was fresh moist and tasty and the fudge layer was good too. Won’t be buying special occasion cakes from The Bakery again

This place is an abomination. Workers talk amongst each other constantly, and are not helpful in any way.
The place needs a deep cleaning everything looks dirty and old, and the whole place has a stinky scent.
Two stars given because the coffee as well as the Danish were tasty. But probably won’t be coming back due to the terrible service and unpleasant aroma.

I have only been here once a few years ago and I won’t ever forget it. The staff is horrible. The whole time I was waiting to be helped they were fighting and yelling at each other. One worker even was cursing. (I wasn’t even the only customer in the shop) the baked goods were ok but felt the staff was just childish.

Picked up a couple of things for a party that I will be going to. Not much of a selection and the not the friendliest of staff.

I love my sweets. Stopped in to grab some desserts for a party. They have a variety of Italian cookies, cakes, and bread. The variety isn’t as large as butter cookie or Rockland bakery but they do have enough to choose from. Got the brownies and rainbow cookies. They were good. I’ll come back to try the other baked goods.

The service is good. I got the chocolate buttercream cake. I really don’t like it that much. But then, I am not a fan of buttercream to begin with.

Love the Babka. I’m the hit at every party I attend when I arrive a Babka from this place!

The hamantash was horrible. Also, as soon as you walk in, there’s a weird stench in that bakery.

I’ve been coming to The Bakery for as long as I can remember. Whether it be for an assorted box of cookies, mandel bread, hamantaschen, or a chocolate ganache cake… they’ve always been fresh and delicious. I can’t speak for everything else they have to offer, but you can’t go wrong with those.

Not much of a bakery fan, but I stopped in recently to get some cannolis for a friend. I have to say, they were delicious and they were a big hit!

Since Bruce’s Bakery in Great Neck relocated to Boca Raton, this is the only place (that I know of) on the Island to get a comparable Philly Fluff. Other than that, I love their rainbow cookies and other baked goods. Thank you for filling the air in the vicinity with smelly baked goodness.

I ordered a customized sheet cake here and it was delicious — chocolate cake, buttercream frosting, and a fruit filling. Any pastries and cookies I’ve ordered were also very good. Prices aren’t absurd.

I’ve been coming to The Bakery for black & white cookies since I was a kid. For the past 20 years, I’ve received nothing but fresh and delicious treats from this great bakery.
Let’s start with the B&W cookies — they are the best I’ve ever had. Nothing has ever come close, so when I’m on Long Island for work, I try to come here at least once every week.
My second favorite item from The Bakery? The cinnamon raisin bread. It’s absolutely delicious! Moist raisins, cinnamon swirl, and cinnamon sugar on top. You can get a large-​sized loaf for about $ 5. In my book, that’s pretty darn good.
And on that note — they are an incredibly affordable bakery, especially for the area in which they are!
I suggest this place to everyone and anyone who is looking for delicious desserts for themselves or for sharing. You may not want to share with anyone, though.

The Philly Fluff cake is to die for. It’s so moist and fresh. I wish they had more loaf cakes because they’d probably be so amazing but there’s not many options besides this cask and a babka cake unless you’re ordering a custom birthday sheet cake.

I don’t know what has happened to my favorite bakery but the cake I got for Father’s day in June was not as fresh but I thought maybe it was just a one time thing.
Bought a cake a few days ago and the butter cream tasted.spoiled. My guests all threw their slices out after a taste.
For $ 16.80 you should enjoy a fresh layer cake. Sad because it was my favorite bakery.

sorry my fellows n friends this bakery just doesn’t do it for me
this place has been around a long time
and some people actually tried to tell me it is kosher it is not.
they do offer lots typical bakery items including those way to sweet frosted cakes
and yes rye bread & Challah bread which my husband claims is good its ok its not great and Shop Rite has just as good, well even Zomicks that you can buy in Shop Rite is better.
and since you have read this far let me remind you the parking here is a big challenge not enough, and the folks yammering on their cells is just wrong (why in this parking lot is this so prevalent?)

Situated in the Plainview mall. Just walking a block away you’ll smell the wonderful wafting smells of freshly baked goods coming from the bakery. It’s like a siren song that makes you wanna walk inside.
Great challa bread soft, fresh, and large. Great danishes and even breads and cakes. My favs are are the walnut raisin danish ring and the marble cake. You’ll find a long line on weekends so be quick once ya walk in and grab a ticket to be serviced.

There is a distinct smell to The Bakery that hooks you in immediately upon entering the establishment. It’s like someone walks around spraying vanilla frosting flavored mist right up your schnoozer. I love it. Everyone loves it. Frankly, it’s delicious.
Anyway, this should be your go-​to spot whenever you are attending an event that requires you to bring a cake/​pie/​cookies/​cupcakes. Big cakes, small cakes, cheesecakes, Bundt cakes, lots of fruit pies, dozens of cookies (rainbow cookies are BOMB) and other treats are displayed for your viewing pleasure and they are all top notch. The bottom line is you should stop buying your pastries from the supermarket and get over here if you live close by. Whoever you give those baked goods to at that event will thank you. The Bakery will write a message on your cake for no extra charge so go ahead and write, «Your Welcome» on it for the goof. Stretch that dollaaa.
The Bakery also has freshly baked breads and rolls. Their loaf of white bread is perfect for people who like sandwiches with on thick white (me). Be aware they sell out of things fast so your chances of getting fresh bread after work are slim.
I asked my mom for a blurb for this review since she was just there yesterday and she replied, «They have good stuff». Thanks mom.
Tip: The Bakery is the OG of this whole cupcake fad. The frosting hits you in the nose when you try to eat it. True story. Try it.
