History

Established in 2004.

In 2004, Alex Tong began working out of his house as the sole proprietor of Alex Tong, CPA. He would walk door to door every day to find new clientele, diligently working to improve his customer pool and develop a name for himself in the Dallas area. Within one year, he was able to relocate his firm to a professional office building. Now, he employs a staff of 7 with three Certified Public Accountants. The company is able to utilize various additional resources to improve the quality of services to its clientele; Alex Tong, CPA has access to the best tax library, software and expertise available. This success and growth can be attributed to a client-​first philosophy, because it is the company’s community of loyal customers that has made the company what it is today.

Manager

I received both my Accounting and Engineering degrees from the University of Texas at Arlington in the 80s. I received my CPA certificate soon after graduation. I met my wife at the university, got married and am now a proud father and grandfather. I firmly believe that by participating in my professional community, I can enhance my technical skill, better serve my clients and foster education for younger professionals. I am a member of the Texas Society of CPAs, the American Society of Tax Problem Solvers, the American Institute of CPAs, the American Society of Tax Professionals, the National Association of Tax Professionals and the American Taxation Association.

I have always felt strongly about giving back to the community and the country which has given me so much. My family and I regularly contributed to civic, religious and charitable organizations such as the Humane Society of the United States, the Dallas Arboretum, Community Walks, and the Clinton Bush Global Initiative.
