Abby helped me choose a hair style that would flatter my face shape and meet my daily styling needs. After the cut, she showed me in detail how to style my hair. With her suggestions, I was able to buy hair products to prevent my hair from laying flat with no body.

Before I had children I used to spend over $ 200 on a cut & color in a fancy office. I am so glad I found Abby. She cut my hair better then anyone else has ever. I gave her an idea of what I was wanting and she helped me decide on what would look best. I love my haircut! Thank you Abby you are amazing!

Abby is nothing short of AMAZING! I’ve been going to her for 2 years and I’ve always been super happy. She gives me exactly what I ask for and she does a beautiful job. I would never trust anyone else with my hair.

Abby is THE hairstylist to go to in Dallas/​Plano! She did an amazing job with my tape-​in extensions. I’ve been getting extensions for almost 5 years now (whoa), and these are hands-​down the best hair extensions I’ve ever had! She is reasonably priced and works fast! Plus she’s so sweet & friendly.

I was looking to do ombré on my hair and so I went on my trusty Unilocal app and typed in ombré hair. ColourTress popped up.
I had no idea I was so close to this salon suite! It was easy to find, although the maze inside is a little tricky. Once you find it, it’s pretty clear.
As always, I was prepared with pictures of what I wanted my hair to look like. I was going for a rose gold ombré look, but of course, being Asian, I can’t get that in one sitting. But Abby is great because she works with you until you are satisfied with the end result. I started panicking (in my head of course) because it was lighter than I thought it would be so she put a reddish/​pink toner on my hair to darken in.
At first I wasn’t sure because I was trying to steer away from red (I’ve done it too many times) but every time I washed it, it got less red and tuned to a pinkish, rose gold color.
She told me to come back if I want to lighten the bottom tips of my hair, which was originally what I was going for.
I’ve gotten so many compliments on my hair since the last time, so I wasn’t sure I should lighten it again, but I went back today and she worked her magic.
She added lighter pieces while still keeping what she did before. I like that she listens to what you want and also recommend options and sound advice.
I’m so glad I found this place because I always jump from hair stylist to hair stylist for my hair, but this is somewhere I can go for professional coloring and get what I want.
Next summer, I’m going pink!

I’ve been having so many trust issues with my hair that I’ve become a hermit underneath a rock who refuses to let ANYONE else touch my hair. Guess what? I finally got out of my rock and decided to see if my friends were bs-​ing me on this ‘amazing’ hairstylist.
First and foremost, Abby made me go from «I hate my short hair so much omg» to «I can’t help but want to take a million selfies and post them all over my social media». I went in with my ends all fried and my hair ombré. The color was like a copper orange (wasn’t a fan of the color) and I just couldn’t stand my hair being so dead anymore. I needed a change, I needed help, I needed a miracle worker. What did I get? All of the above. Instead of me wanting to go lighter, she suggested what would be BEST for me and the pros and cons of the process for me to get where I want my hair to be. My hair went back to being a bob and it’s a light brown that fades into an ash brown. I. Love. It. So. Much.
Abby is definitely amazing at her job and I have her so much respect on being her own boss and having her own salon! I will definitely be back and I will definitely be keeping my hair healthier so that she doesn’t have to rip my hair off if she sees it all damaged again ahaha.
Even if you’re not in the Plano area, I highly recommend that you make an appointment with her because she’s one of the best I could find and I don’t even live in Plano. You will definitely NOT regret it! I will be back in a month just like I promised! Super excited for the next process! Or u might possibly just keep the color I have now because I love it so much! :)

I’ve just moved from Florida and have been on a mission to find a hairdresser. Abby is highly energetic, funny and very professional. I trusted her right away. She recommended a fantastic color on my hair and I’m loving it! Go see her! She knows her stuff!

I went from a drabby tired look to a new wispy full of body hair, I didn’t even know I had split ends !! Nobody knows if they have split ends in my opinion. but we got that taken care of real fast ! I had a cut and ombré… ooh LA LA love it

MY OVERALL EXPERIENCE WAS IMPECCABLE, A STYLIST THAT ACTUALLY LISTENS TO YOU, TELLS YOU WHAT LOOKS GOOD WITH YOUR FACE SHAPE, NOT JUST CUT AND NOT EXPLAIN whether or not it looks good on your face shape! Get my drift?!

I would give Abby 10 stars if I could. She is extremely knowledgable!
I am very low maintenance so she worked with me to get the best color. She also taught me how to style my hair and showed me what products I could use without pressuring me into buying them. Apart from being so good at what she does, she has such an amazing personality! I would recommend her to absolutely anyone! I’ve never loved my hair this much!

I had a great experience today here with Abby! She is so friendly and makes you feel immediately at home. She make sure she understands exactly what you want, while also offering her input! Being new to the area, I was looking for a permanent salon. I am so happy with my hair after leaving her, and am excited to have found my new hair salon. HIGHLY recommend this place!!!

Abby is awesome. You can schedule your appts online so it’s quick and convenient. My hair looked amazing and she was super friendly. She gave me some great styling tips that weren’t high maintenance.

Abby is one of the best hairstylists I’ve been to! I was actually just in town to visit my parents and desperately needed a haircut. I’ve had short hair (think bob) for much of the past few years and I was trying to grow it out. Sadly, it had grown into this weird uneven mullet-​y look. I explained to Abby what I was going for and snip snip snip, she transformed my hair into something that actually looked like it had style. She even offered me some advice on how I can take care of it, curl it, etc.
The place itself is very cute. Mattison Avenue Salons is basically like big office-​like building with a million individually own suites (of which Abby works in one) that range from hairstyles to nail technicians to massage therapists. Very cute and intimate setting.
The haircut and style took about 1 hour and we chit chatted through most of it. I did purchase a Groupon deal, which made the total price around $ 39. I think her prices for women’s cuts start around $ 50, which is fantastic for the haircut you’re going to get!

This was by far the best haircut I have gotten in years. Abby knows exactly what she’s doing and helped me figure out what I wanted and made it happen! I recommend her 100% and can’t wait to go again! She’s also friendly and makes you feel very welcome. I am finally happy with my hair, thanks so much!

I LOVED Abby! She is absolutely amazing! She’s very knowledgeable and great at what she does. I came in knowing that I wanted a cut and color; I had a cut in mind but didn’t know what color to do. I told her I either wanted ombré or full color and she recommended ombré. I trusted her with my hair and I asked her, «What do you think I should do?» and of course I listened to her input and I’m glad that I did! My hair came out great!

I’ve been coming to Abby for roughly 3 years. I’m in my 30s and have never found a stylist near as good. She’s very professional but also sensitive to her clients wants and needs. She’s quick to make recommendations based on her experience and never once let me down. I’ve tried different stylists and been moderately pleased but Abby always goes above and beyond to make sure her clients are happy. She has a lot of passion for what she does and it shows. She’s also a make up artist which is a service I hope to use in the future. If you get the chance to come to Abby, I’m 100% sure you won’t be dissatisfied. I highly recommend her services.
