My tour was supposed to last 5NTS/6DAYS. Unfortunately, I had to leave and continue the tour on my own on the morning of the 3rd day. Gina Stipo, the tour guide, was rude, unprofessional, impatient, and, so unpleasant. On the first night she told us that she was tired of doing the tours and that is why she wants to open a restaurant in Washington. Boy does that unhappiness show! Too many things happened to type it all down but an example is: Her view of Tuscany is very sad. She was angry because I had used up a box of matches trying to build a fire I thought it was funny… I’m on vacation right? I told her to calm down that I would happily replace them ASAP. She said Tuscany was like a third world country and that I shouldn’t expect to find things easily! And that I would have a very difficult time finding matches. I didn’t say anything but I thought: «what is this? Italy 1945? Ha ha ha. Anyway, on our way to ST Gimigniano she warned me that it would be impossible to find matches anywhere. Well, the very first store we found as we entered San Gimigniano? YES, a cigar store where they sell cigarettes, cigars and matches!!! I totally stopped taking her seriously at that point. She also told me(in front of the other tour members) that I would never survive in Tuscany because I couldn’t build a fire. Not a nice thing to say to a paying customer. I went on with my tour and had a blast on my own sight-seeing in Siena, Florence, Pisa, and then transferred to London.
