I give this a 5. When someone reviews a buffet, one must consider the competition, measuring the experience with other eateries in the same genre. This location has the staff from the closed McKinney location. The service is awesome. They are always friendly. Food is great. The regular grill master Enrique is awesome. The liver and onions(yes, you can get that here and it rocks) was empty. Enrique immediately threw more on the grill. He asked where I was sitting offering to even bring it to me when it was ready. This kind of customer service is noticed and greatly appreciated. Ok. for any who give this place a negative vote… really? Really? What… were they out of one item you wanted that one time? You live in America entitled prima-donna ‘d out world. You went in expecting a 3 Forks steak? The staff works hard going above and beyond at this location. So go get you some comfort food here for a great price.

So I. Called 2 days ahead to order rolls for thanks giving dinner and the manager said that I don’t have to order ahead I can walk in and pick up. Walk in get rolls. And guess what? They were sold out! If I had known that I would have order ahead of time. Don’t make promises you can’t keep. Management sucks. Staff sucks. For a brand new Golden Corral you would think you would own up to your promises. So now I don’t have any rolls for my party. Thanks Golden Corral. Thanks.

I have visited this location a few times in the past and it was ok but yesterday was not… Went in at 4:05 so it was supposed to be dinner, steaks and whatever else they have… If you want breakfast they have it if you wanted a steak they are no where to be found… I take that back I found them at 4:45 when I was getting dessert right before leaving. They were on the grill… Now back to what they did have, breakfast the French toast that my husband got you couldn’t cut with a steak knife! And what happened to the sliders that are always on the bar? They have 3 different types of chicken… BBQ, fried and rotisserie… And pot roast that was all no other types of meat except sausage and crumbled bacon(over cooked) I miss the sweet potato casserole they have that is so good and no sweet potatoes to be seen at all only regular potatoes. Also what happened to the pork chops? I don’t really feel that I got my $ 32.00 worth for 2 people when for a few more dollars I could have gone to Outback and gotten a steak or an actual dinner.

The worst golden coral ever been to. They were out of food 3 hiurs before closing. Whenever I asked someone about something they were fussy and mad because I asked. The employees were congregating around and having conversations instead of refilling the food. Will never come here again.

Honestly I have nothing bad to say about this place and I don’t understand where all the negative comments and rating are coming from. You come for a buffet, you get it. There’s a variety of choices and something for everyone, really. Our waiter was Enrique and he was so attentive and cleared plates and got our refills quickly and was extremely sweet. We never had to look for him, he was ready to go and he was doing tables all around us. Also, it’s very clean and not too noisy. I was here around 3:30 — 4:30 and it wasn’t busy at all. I’ve been here many times and I will keep coming back.

It wasn’t bad, it wasn’t good either. It wasn’t the old Golden Corral I knew. It’s been a long time though so I’m not sure if my liking for American buffet have changed over the years or they have changed. The best part about this trip was the ice cream.

The food quality goes down. and, the black waiter was so rude to me. Maybe he thinks Asian will pay bad tip. So he treat me rude. Well, I don’t care it anymore because I will never sit on his section again.

OMG! The first 5mins was cleaning my cup, second the hostess was rude and pretty much did not want to be there. No smiling no thank you just taking the money. third the food was messy and the surrounding food display looked like a pre school cafeteria! I will never return nor will I refer this Horrible place to eat. its def a cafeteria environment. It’s very much overpriced! They should lower the Buffet to $ 5.99 and drinks free! Trust the cups are not clean they had good on the Rim

The food selection was very minimal, and of those few choices, there was very little out and ready to serve. Got a refund and went to Chilis.

We stopped by for dinner and the staff was helpful and friendly. In my food I found a hair in the meatloaf, I showed the store manager and she said she would have them take the meatloaf off the bar and bring out new. She never offered to replace my money or give me a comp meal on the next visit. She acted like it was no big deal. I will never eat at this place again! !

Any buffet place I go it’s a challenge. so I call it the buffet challenge. The food is a win or a lose and most of the time it’s both. As for me golden corral’s food quality has gone down hill and the price has gone up. The vegetables weren’t the problem it was the food choices. You had a range of chinese to southern food. Out of twenty dishes I found three that were good and the rest were nasty. Here are some stuff that I noticed. The soups were really dry and uncovered. The mandarin orange chicken had a clear coating and didn’t look like the norm. They ran out of sweet potato casserole for awhile until I asked for more. The breakfast burrito looks like a enchilada but don’t be fooled the tortilla is under cooked. The yeast bread is over baked and rubbery. The mac and cheese was crusty and watery. The fajita chicken was tough as rubber. The chocolate fondant was forming a hard layer on the bottom meaning it hasn’t been touched for awhile. The strawberries were old and dead(expired today I saw the sticker) Now here are the three things I found that were decent. The bourbon chicken had a nice flavor and was tender. The sweet potato casserole that was absent for a long time, was pretty good. The grilled mushrooms was filled with flavor(their own natural flavor). and to add one more. the steamed squash was quiet decent. For all this I paid $ 13! I rather eat elsewhere and pay the same price for better quality food. I think people are fooled by the word buffet. Eat more and pay less. reality is pay more and eat less.

I’m not sure why Golden Corral gets such a bad rap. I think most people who visit know exactly what they’re going to get and are probably trying to compare it to Capitol Grill or something like that. There are endless combinations of salads, meats, veggies, there’s a taco bar, some Chinese style food, pretty much something for everyone, even the most picky eater. The building itself is pretty much like any other Golden Corral except it’s brand new, so very clean and certainly spacious. Salads to the right, meat and main course dishes in the middle and the expansive dessert bar to the left. They even had cotton candy on the go. I always leave Golden Corral satisfied and stuffed, definitely get my money’s worth. Our server, Jorge, was attentive. He promptly cleared away the used plates, refilled water, and offered us coffee. Overall, relaxed enjoyable dining experiences and a bit disappointed I couldn’t eat everything I wanted to. Would prefer to slice my own desserts, however some, like the carrot cake, are presliced on plates), Great service.

Worst service and staff ever! Disgusting not cleaned area where food is and drink stations. Bathrooms disgusting. Staff is something from the crack house down in south Dallas. Won’t be returning.

I’m sad to see this place go down hill few months back it was truly the place to eat. Now the food is disgusting the service was never seen until we were leaving. And when asking if there where going to be bake potato tonight a female manager told me that they take an hour to cook and the store was closing soon but if that was the case then why still let me pay almost 40 bucks for my family and I to eat leftovers save ur money people jack in the box is better spent money

Food was either old or cold… Spoke with manager to get corporate number and told him this was the worst golden corral experience between here and Nevada and all he could say is oh really … Never apologized for the nastiness of the buffet nor that the food was old and dried out … Mac and cheese looked like soup and we waited an hr for bake potatoes that never came…

My server, was very attentive to all the guests in my area. Food was hot and fresh. Rolls were excellent! Fried chicken needed a touch more salt, not a big deal, as I can add it at the table. No complaints!

Absolutely terrible. Save your money. Floors and tables were dirty. Saw a customer ask for a broom which they cleaned the area they were sitting in. Kitchen staff couldn’t keep up. Many of the food selections were empty. Steaks from grill were so salty that I couldn’t eat. Silverware bins were empty. Had to finally eat my ice cream with a fork. Food items on buffet were still listed as breakfast items at 7pm dinner time. Tried to speak with manager but there was another family already yelling at them. Worst experience ever.

Cheap food, and cheap buffet prices. The restaurant was decently clean but there was a ton of people going in and out. It almost seemed like there was not enough seating in the restaurant for how many people they let in since many people would sit and stay a long time. Their fried foods were good, everything else was fresh but just decent.

For now, things are good. Food was fresh, well stocked and prepared properly. Service was great despite how busy they were(brand new location Sunday brunch during Christmas shopping season kind of busy). The location was still very clean. Definitely will need to do a revisit and review in 6 months or so to see how they are holding up.
