History

Established in 1989.

Haggard Library was named in memory of William Owen Haggard, Jr., whose wife Merle Haggard, daughter Janna Bryan & son Rodney Haggard made the six-acre site available for the library. Haggard Library is a 40,000 square foot facility with sunken courtyards to provide north light on both the main floor & the lower level. The lower level contains the Genealogy Center and is home to the library administration offices.
