A one star just seems so dismissive and dramatic, but I simply can’t justify a 2. maybe a 1 ½. There was something annoying about the service; otherwise, a 2. Plain and simple, I’ve never had more sloppy, mediocre Mexican/Tex-Mex food. It was embarrassing to eat this food. Simply stated, I could have done better at home, And, my wife, cooks far better at home. And, every other Mexican or Tex Mex place I’ve eaten in recent years does better at their home. So, why eat at this joint? We ate with my parents as a convenient place to go nearby, but it’s one not worth giving a second chance. All meals were very weak. When we left, the wife said it was horrible and she was going to write a review on Unilocal. She has never written a review on Unilocal.I think she’s letting me do it for her at this point, as she’s successfully suppressed the experience from her mind. So, the price didn’t make up for poor quality(lack of flavor, poor portion size. sloppy presentation). the atmosphere was fine… the service was sub-par(unfriendly waitress who seemed slightly bothered to still be on the clock). 1 star. Don’t waste your time. Pick up a black bean burrito at Taco Cabana. It’s far better in quality and value.

I’ve been here at least once a month since they opened. I’ve always had great service and they even recognize us when we come in now. It’s family friendly, in that it’s not overly crowded and usually black beans on the table so kids can start eating right away. Fajitas(all types) are fantastic and my husband has chalupas nearly every time, so they must be good. The brisket tacos are delicious but available only once a week(Thursday I think, but check the chalkboard near the entrance to be sure). For sports fans there is a very nice large tv and I’m sure they could turn on the game for you. It’s very clean and looks nice inside.

In Texas, Tex-Mex places are a dime a dozen, much like Chinese takeouts. You can try as many as you like, but they all taste more or less the same in the end. Writing about this place would generally be a waste of time. The interior and food will be exactly as you imagine it.

I found this place to be delicious! The salsa was amazing! And they bring a bean dip with it that is also very good. I got the brisket tacos that had a street taco vibe. My son got the taco dinner(both 7.95) and we both loved our meals! Service was also very nice. We will for sure be back!

We walked in at 9:05pm, I asked if they were open and was immediately guilt tripped for being there. She said«well. We are about to close… But… come on sit down». Open sign was on, they didn’t close until 9:30pm. She seemed very devious and we both really think they did something to our food! Her and her coworkers were laughing and snickering at us! NEVER again!

Not very impressed. Menus were not wiped down and had a rancid smell. Didn’t make idea of ordering food appealing. Great Salsa and Chips. Ordered frajitas– and they were fair– average at best. Place was pretty empty– and service was pretty poor. No one asked if our food was ok. Looked stunned when we mentioned the foul odor on the menus. Don’t expect them to stay in business if things don’t improve.

The food is pretty good. The first time I went(approx Summer 2012) they were extremely short staffed. There was a bartender and 1 server. You wouldn’t have known though — everyone in the place was well taken care of. The most recent time I went was right after Christmas 2012 and again, it was pretty good. Great service. I’d go back.

I’ve eaten here a handful of times and never had a bad meal. I appreciate that they bring out black bean dip in addition to salsa. I love the stuff. I especially like their combination fajitas for two(beef, chicken, shrimp). I’m not a connoisseur of Mexican food, but I like the fact that at the end of the meal, I don’t feel like I’ve consumed a pound of cheese and hate myself. The fajita meat is nicely seared, the shrimp a good size, and the fixins are plentiful. The service is always very friendly and attentive. Happy hour drink specials: $ 3 margaritas and $ 4 for a delicious glass of sangria. For a neighborhood joint, it’s thumbs up.
