Our Plano dentists, Drs. Imperial, Melton and Thompson are all passionate about staying up-​to-​date on the latest advances in dentistry. Business Owner

Dr. Steven Thompson has been practicing dentistry in Plano, TX for 16 years. He attended college at Texas A&M University and after his 3rd year at A&M he was accepted into Baylor college of Dentistry. He graduated with honors from Baylor in 1994. Dr. Thompson really enjoys being a dentist and has a real passion for cosmetic and implant dentistry but also likes helping patients with TMJ pain, bad bites and age worn smiles. Dr. Thompson just recently received his Mastership in the Academy of General Dentistry; this is the highest award for continuing dental education presented by the Academy of General Dentistry and requires over 1100 hours of disciplined and comprehensive dental study covering all aspects of dentistry. Dr. Thompson is also a member of the Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the Texas Dental Association, the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, the Academy of Bioesthetic Dentistry, and the American Dental Association. Great dental clinic. Dr Thompson is excellent, very through, explained what was needed and recommended some things I could do to keep my teeth in great condition. Brit and T were great technicians and Hang Mene was very helpful with the scheduling and financial side. Highly recommend this Dental Group!

I have been going here since 2008. I have had molars pulled, caps, crowns, and numerous fillings. All of their tech’s are good, a couple are outstanding. Michelle did a fabulous job on me today! She caught that I had some sensitivity along my upper gum line, but instead of just apologizing and trying to hurry, she gave me some numbing gel to keep it comfortable for me. But she did not just put it on the upper right side, she was proactive and did the entire top of my gums. This was GREATLY appreciated when she started on my upper left side. Even with the gel, she hit a spot that zinged me pretty good. Without the gel I might have shot up off the chair! When we were finishing, as she was polishing my teeth, the vibrations against my lips were driving me a little nuts. Again, without being asked, she picked up on this and used her fingers to pull back my lips to keep it from aggravating me any more. It is the little things which make all the difference. it makes an 8 or 9 visit turn into a 10. Michelle is part of the reason why I keep coming back to ImageCare, even after I have lived in Frisco, Richardson, Carrolltoon, Garland and now Coppell.
It may not be the cheapest, which is the only drawback. But when it comes to my teeth, I will always be willing to spend a little more. I know with all the changes in the health care system Lord only knows what they are paid by insurance companies after the fact. And their office managers have always been professional, polite, and kind even on a few times where I may have gotten upset at billing questions. I plan to keep coming here for a long time.

I had been a client for a few years & on last 2 visits they said I needed deep cleaning due to periodontal disease. I’m in my 30’s & only a couple years ago I got my first cavity in my life which was on one of my wisdom teeth. I’ve been blessed with good dental genes so periodontal disease really shocked me. I always got the feeling that they were trying to do unnecessary work on me. I decided to change dentists & started going to Westgrove Dental. They confirmed I did not have periodontal disease on my last 2 cleanings which once you have it, it doesn’t just go away. I definitely recommend you get second opinions from this place if you decide to remain a customer. I would not go back to them.

The office staff are always nice and friendly, and always work with me on my appointments. The service from Dr. Melton & his staff is wonderful. Full explanation of what to expect while in the office, and if needed, what I need to do at home.

I called Monday for an appointment as I chipped a tooth over the weekend an appointment was made same day, at 1 pm the tooth was examined and a crown was needed. I was setup the next day with temporary crown in place.

I have been with Image Care Dental for many years & appreciate the hard work they do to meet my needs on every visit. The top item on my list to rave about is how they are always on time starting my appointments so I don’t have to sit & wait around. Most of the employees that have worked on my teeth have been gentle :). I have no pain tolerance in my gum/​teeth so it’s good they numb me just right when needed. I always know upfront what the work will cost so there’s no surprises. I have referred my family & friends there and will continue to do so.

I can’t say enough great things about this group. I have seen 3 different dentists at ImageCare over the past two years and every single one is absolutely wonderful. It is so obvious that their main concern is the patient — not how much money they can make. The staff and hygienists are always very kind and helpful.
