Business Owner

My name is Josh and I’m the sole employee here at JOAT. I’ve spent the last 18 years as a software engineer and I’ve decided to escape from the corporate world, open my own handyman business and do something I truly love.

I spend a lot of my weekends and free time devoted to learning construction, woodworking, and home maintenance as a hobby. It gives me peace and joy when working on something and great satisfaction upon the completion of it. I tore down our master bathroom to the studs and rebuilt it from the ground up to have the bathroom we always dreamed of. Next I designed and built a workshop in our backyard from the foundation to the shingles and everything in between. This was when I realized I’d been bitten by the bug and wanted to do this type of thing full time. To have my hobby become my career.
