When this store first opened, Plano was still a somewhat quiet city. Davis Library was seemingly abandoned at many hours, north Plano was still covered with empty, grassy fields, traffic was only something that happened downtown, and this Quizno’s was the best sandwich shop around. Their sandwiches were loaded with meat, prices were good and it all tasted great. This Quizno’s is still here, but the ravages of time have taken their toll. Davis library is packed and swarming with Asians comparing GPAs, north Plano is coated with a thick layer of McMansions(city planning apparently hates parks), stressed upper middle class folks race around in their Lexus ES’s on slightly clogged streets, and Quizno’s sandwiches have grown frail and thin. The flavors have changed a little bit. I turned into a grumpy old cane waving man. It’s only because of fond memories that I refrain from rating their terrible sandwiches a 2⁄5. Goodnight sweet prince.
