A&E Factory Service

Do not hire these people! I purchased two Vinotemp wine coolers (avoid these too). We noticed water damage to the brand new cabinets surrounding the coolers. Upon further inspection we discovered water in the bottom of the units. Vinotemp sent out A&E. I work 30 minutes away and requested 1 hours notice so that I could get home and so the contractor who installed them could be there. I got 5 minutes notice. I raced home but the repairman refused to wait for the contractor. Fortunately I had parked behind his truck and I did not let him out until the contractor arrived.
A&E determined that the coolers needed tubes to drain condensation. When he told me the tubes did not appear on the parts list or diagram, I put him on the phone with Vinotemp. They agreed to send tubes for that purpose. 3 weeks later the tubes arrived and another appointment was scheduled. I again asked for at least an hours notice. This time I got 20 minutes notice. The same repair man again said he would not wait. I told him to have his boss call me and I raced home (he/​she never called). 60 minutes later he still was not there but he called to say he had changed his schedule and would be at my house at 3:00. He showed up at 3:45. It took him all of 10 minutes to determine that the parts he personally ordered were the wrong size. Having now lost 2 half days of work I throw him out of my house. He, nor anyone from his company will be back in my house again. DON’T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE!

A&E came out today to repair the deli drawer in our Whirlpool refrigerator. This is an extended warrantee repair through Lowes. Originally Lowes contacted Flamingo Appliance and they strung us along for 4 – 5 times of coming out, ordering parts, arriving 3 – 4 hours late, yelling at us and walking out mid-​repair. Don’t ever use Flamingo! A&E was very knowledgeable, had the correct part on the truck and repaired the deli drawer to our satisfaction. A&E was originally scheduled to arrive today from 8 – 12. Last night they called to let us know we were first on the schedule and would arrive between 8 – 10. The tech arrived at 8:30. If you are forced through an extended warrantee service to use Flamingo, I recommend calling the warrantee company to complain so they will stop using that company.
